Sateara called to the ship with her make-shift communicator.
"Captain! Permission to beam back? I got the specimen!"
She had been sent to the planet Gonpir, in the Mandor Star System, to retrieve a rare bear-like specimen called a Furroe. The Captain sent all new cadets on ridiculous missions like this. Sateara could not see how any of this mattered. She just wanted to work in the teleporter room with her crush Heydin.
Waiting for a response, the young cadet walked around the area, admiring the pretty purple mushrooms that grew there.
The best thing about the whole "mission" was the Furroe she had found seemed attached to her leg and wouldn't leave her. She liked it, wishing she could keep the cute little creature for her own. Maybe someday I'll be able to get a real pet, she thought getting a little impatient the Captain had not answered her...
