Skipped out on going to a dance at my school tonight.
There usaly quite borring anyways, what with all the Rap and hip hop they play.
just once i like to hear them play some good old Avenged Sevenfold or Slipknot.
Now that would be a good dance to go to.
I already know that wont happen in my school, but it's nice to think about it.
New Short Story i'm writing
Famine collapsed on his grandparents couch. After driving for about a week, it felt good to be home.
"Gabriel, Are you o.k?"
He winced at his old name." don't call me that.Call me Zacky."
"shure Dear.Where are your parents?" his grandmother asked as she walked in to the living room.Famine was completly exausted, and didn't feel like answering questions.
"i'm not in the mood to answer questions, Grandma." He paused.
"sorry, i'm just tired."
"thats o.k, Zacky." She pronounced his name weird, making the Z sound like an S."Your free to stay as long a you want.I'll Regester you for school in the fall"
Fall? what day was it? Famine looked over at the calender.It was the 1st of July.
"You came by just in time for our 4th of July party.The entire block is invited." His grandma explained. Famine remembered the 4th of July fireworks they had every year in Death valley, but shook it out of his head.
"there are some kids on the block about your age. mabey you could meet them at the party."
"really?" Famine asked.
"yeah, two boys and a girl. From what i hear, they all play instruments.Maby you could play with them one day." she suggested.
"Yeah, maby. I'm going for a walk, o.k?"
"just be back for dinner, o.k?"
"Shure grandma, Be back later" Famine said as he walked out the door.
Outside, the sun had started to set, making the sky turn a light blood red color.
A man Walked up to him.
"You must be the new kid. My name is Brian, what's yours?"
the man had black hair and Golden eyes.
"I'm Zacky" Famine said, shaking his outstretched hand.
"how old are you?" he asked
" I'm 18, what about you?"
" 17.you look at least 21."
Brian chuckled "I get that a lot,"
He paused. "Wait. Zacky as in Zacky V.?"
"Yeah,That is where i got my name from."
"odd choice for a name,"
Zacky shook his head, smiling." whatever Brian"
Brian started walking up the street.
"welcome to the block, Zacky" he called back. Famine smiled.Maby this Wouldnt be so bad , living with with his grandparents.
He watched the sun go down, thinking about how he would live with now
