Act Five: Evening, Taylor, Part Two
He looked at her, a smile forming at the edge of his lips. Taylor looked down at the ground almost instantaneously. She smiled to herself and she could feel the blood running to her cheeks."Excuse me miss," she heard a man’s settle voice call from behind her. She stopped in her tracks, tightly gripping her sister’s, hand paralyzed by the beauty of his voice. And in an instant, the man appeared in front of her, his eyes filled with curiosity and anxiousness. He smiled warmly to her, making her smile back without notice. He cleared his throat and continued on what he wanted to ask her.
"I'm kind of looking for someone," he said smoothly. "His name is Amadeo Pavilii."
"Umm, I'm sure if you look on the tombstones.." Taylor started but was interrupted by the mans laughter.
"No. No, that's not what I meant. He's alive. He was supposed to meet me here tonight," the man corrected himself. "Wait, I have a picture." The man reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a picture, as he said.
Taylor studied the picture, she could barely see the Polaroid outline without moonlight. The mean in the picture had olive colored skin and almond shaped eyes. He had short, dark hair and dark eyes to match his hair. He was elderly, but handsome. Unfamiliar to her.
“My Grandfather,” the man said interrupting her gaze, “Italian.”
"I wanna see!" Annabelle whispered to Taylor, pulling the photo down to her eyes.
"Ah, explains the name …I'm sorry, I haven’t seen him around," Taylor said to the man, [blocking out Anna as usual] biting her bottom lip. The man’s facial expression looked disappointed. "Sorry." she quickly added again.
"It's Okay," he said with a weak smile.
She stood there, awkwardly for a moment. Taylor could feel his eyes study her. Her figure, her clothes, her very visible, light blonde hair. She blushed. It was as if she was being violated, but for some reason, she didn't mind.
"My name ‘s Gerard." He said at last, extending his hand towards her.
"I'm Taylor," she quickly replied with a studier, taking his hand. A shiver went down her spine as soon as she touched his flesh. His hands were as cold as ice, yet they were somehow warm and comforting.
Unexpectedly, the two started talking. About random things really music, movies, siblings... They slowly were making their to Tay’s house. They found out that they had loads of things in common. Strange, really. Taylor thought she would never find someone who thought almost exactly as she did. But she could sense that Gerard was hiding something from her. It didn't matter that much though, they'd just met, but she hopes she sees him again after tonight.
