As she slept in her bed tossing about dreaming of him, her soul longing for him to be near her again he appeared from the shadows, his face showed many long battles some with others some with himself and his conflicting nature and in his eyes was a sadness for being away from her for so long and knowing hat he can't stay and just hold her in his arms. He walked up to the side of her bed watching her toss and turn and knowing that it was him that was causing it hurt him but he knew it had to be for now. He left 'cause he had to, leaving her behind for reasons that if she knew about would put her in danger. He bent down to her face to gently kiss her lips ever so lightly so not to wake her and as he walked back into the shadows she woke up with tears filling her eyes. Was it a dream she was thinking but the feel of his lips on hers was so real and as she looked around a single white feather gently floated down into her lap.
