The thoughts of a restless mind.
This is kind of what it sounds like it is. It's different little quotes that I think of. Don't call me emo about them because I'm not and if you think that they are then your head is up your a**.
Running With Werewolves (Chapter 8, Anna)
Anna

If I had a heart I could only guess that it would be running miles a minute. My icy cold hand pressed against the stone in front of me and I was half tempted to peer around the figure to see just what was coming. The air was too thick for me to tell what it was from such a far distance. Even still though I could hear foot steps. They were light but heavy. Werewolf. I could feel my eyes pulse and soon my fingernails were digging into the angel’s leg leaving marks of anger. What the hell were they doing in the city?
Biting my lip I had to keep back the growl that was rumbling around in my chest. My first thought was to spring up from behind the stone figure and attack the first chance I got. Sadly I didn’t know who I was up against. Even though they’re all mutts doesn’t mean some don’t work differently then others. I was forced to keep my place and wait to be able to pick up the scent. Scent! Just because I couldn’t pick up theirs didn’t mean I was just as blind to them. If anything I was really in trouble in the end. Werewolves had the better nose between the two breeds. Not only that but I had been dancing all over the place. Being frozen I felt my eyes widen. If I didn’t do something to them first then I would be the one killed at the alter.
Looking around I felt myself go into a slight panic. There was still foot steps coming so at least I had a little time. As they drew closer I could tell they were sniffing here and there. There was also the few sounds of the werewolf possibly going to gag on the smell. I know we appalled each other when it came to scent but at least I didn’t smell like some wet mutt. The foot steps stopped and soon the hairs on the back of my neck were standing straight up. Was I caught? No… The foot steps were still far away last I checked.
Finally haven’t had enough of being blind I dared to look around the angel to see who was there. Right as my head peered around the corner I wish I hadn’t. Only a few inches away from my face was nothing but a giant wolf head with fangs bearing and eyes glaring. Gasping I placed my hands to my mouth trying to muffle any scream that would draw the other vampires my way. I wanted this to be my fight. Besides if they did show up then god only knows how many werewolves would be here just as quickly.
With wide eyes I scrambled to my feet and instantly took off. The tomb stones around me began to blur from the speed and within seconds I was to the other side of the cemetery. I sank my feet into the soft mud under me to a stop and whirled around to see how far away mister tall and scary was. My back was soon pressed against the cast iron gates as he was just a few feet away from me and coming in fast.
I couldn’t help but stand there feeling baffled for one reason or another. I sniffed at the air and finally had an idea as to who it was. It was the alpha… What the heck was he doing out on his own? Better yet, why that look in his eyes? I hadn’t seen one so terrifying in my life. They were so different from the ones a few nights ago. What were once one’s of confusion were pure rage towards not just a vampire heart but my own. Shaking my head I tried to tell myself it wasn’t real. That all of this was a nightmare and I was at home in my bed asleep still.
Closing my eyes and taking in a deep breath I was soon pulled by the arm and out of the way as I heard the werewolf crash into the iron gates I was once pressed against. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” A man shouted as he ran pulling on my arm. I stumbled along trying to keep up with him while my mind had totally shut off. I couldn’t believe that look to the eyes. Part of me was horrified while the other was heart broken. I didn’t know why I had felt that way but I did.
“Hey short stuff you mind channeling back into Earth and picking up the pace?” The man snapped again as I shook my head and tried getting it into place. Before I could think twice though we were at a stop. Looking star struck I watched the man push against the giant stone door to a mausoleum. This was before they just started to become walls and were more like little gothic homes.
Meanwhile behind me I could hear the loud foot steps of the werewolf again bearing us down. I felt my blood turn to ice and without a say in any matter the man shoved me into the room and told me to stay put. The wall was then shoved back closed and all that followed was the sounds of skin tearing and a wolf howling. The sounds echoed faintly in the now darkness of the room and I felt my stomach turn. Images of the man that had just tried to save me being torn into pieces plagued my mind. Even if he was just a mortal that triggered something in my heart. My mind on the other hand had totally checked out and I forced with all my might just to get a small reaction to the images. Soon it wasn’t just a small reaction that had happened from within the confounds of my mind. It was a giant click of flood lights and I soon became a little too rational.
What the hell had gotten into me? Here I was, one of the greatest vampire Generals of all time and the air to the Drac thrown, standing mindlessly in a mausoleum while some werewolf was tearing my human savior to shreds. As that thought crossed my mind again the stone walls shook and dust flew about as a body collided with the door. Jumping a little I waited to hear a groan or something of the sort. Instead there was silence and the battle now seemed far in the distance.
“That it!” Walking over to the door I had finally gotten a hold of myself. Raged pumped through my veins. More towards myself then anything over the fact that I had acted so stupidly. With one shove I pushed the door open and stepped out into the now misty air. The moon hung over head and was pushing its rays through the thousands of trees that surrounded the forest. Most of which were either dead of leafs or had many different shades of yellow, orange and red leaf hanging to them for dear life.
Looking around I couldn’t help but feel my jaw drop. There was no longer just one werewolf but two. It was an on going battle between them that consisted of harsh snaps at one another while rolling around on the ground in a flurry of growls. Their eyes were locked on each others and both had nothing but rage towards their counterpart. I couldn’t help but seem baffled again by the slight. It was one thing to see vampires and werewolves fight against each other but never to see a breed go against it’s own kind.
The battle started to slow down as one of the werewolves was sent flying through the air. It landed in front of the angel that was weeping. The same angel that moments ago I was crying over. The other werewolf soon took his own leap of fate and landed on the others neck. There was a loud crunch and nothing but blood pooled out of the now dead wolf. My eyes grew wide as I looked over the two wolves. The victor was breathing heavy as he looked down at the other wolf. The one on the ground having been the one that had chased me.
My mind instantly pieced two and two together. The werewolf that was on the ground was my werewolf. The alpha that I had been having some strange fascination with. My rage kicked back in but this time I had something to direct it all to.
“You killed him!” My voice sounded fierce as I snapped at the other werewolf. In an instant I was running after him as fast as my feet would take me. Moments after that I felt my arms wrapped around the giant creature’s torso. The two of us heading straight into a few tomb stones. My arm snapped the stones in half and soon there was the warm familiar feeling of blood running down it. Lingering in the air was a giant cloud of dust from the all destruction and nothing but a sharp growl from myself echoed in it.
My fists were hard at work throwing every punch that I could get at him. Meanwhile the werewolf did nothing but seem to defend himself. “What? I’m not big enough of a challenge for you?!” I grabbed a hold of his arm and went to rip it right off of his stupid body. Before I could though I was picked up off of my feet and thrown off like some rag doll. I felt my body crash into the mausoleum and the building shook again. There was the sounds of cracking. Luckily it was all just of stone again and nothing that seemed vital to me.
Pulling myself from the wall I could feel small pieces of stone fall from my skin. Looking to my arm I felt it shake but slowly the wound was starting to heal itself. I might not have been as fast of a healer as a werewolf but it was a minor flesh wound and would be better by the end of the night.
“Why won’t you fight me! Why did you kill your kind?” I shook with rage and with every fiber of my being I wanted to send another wave of attacks his direction. Instead my emotions wouldn’t let me do otherwise. I was too scared, to worried and oddly, to heart broken. My arm soon wasn’t the only thing that was shaking. It was now my whole body trembling. My eyes were beginning to swell with huge warm tears as I found myself frustrated once again. What the hell were these emotions and why were they troubling me now.
The werewolf just looked away from me and sighed heavily. There was an anger in his eyes and I wanted to knock it right out of his head. “Answer me dam it!” I snapped again this time I took a step closer though the gap between us was huge. His eyes shot straight over to me and looked into my teary eyes. I felt my skin crawl as the rage that I had towards him was now directed towards me again. I had enough of feeling out of place tonight. I didn’t want to feel the emotions anymore. Even if they were directed towards the werewolf that was now dead on the ground that meant that I was free once again.
Racing towards the killer once more I was going to go straight of his neck. It was only fair that he shared the same fate as the other. Before I could get too close I was grabbed around my very neck and thrown against the gates. They gave way and soon fell over to the ground. I started to kicked my feet while being held in mid air. I could feel his fingers tighten around my throat and my eyes closed as I reached up trying to break this grip free from me. “Let me go! Let me go or kill me!” I shouted while continuing to fuss. There was a huff from the werewolf and I found myself moving suddenly.
I didn’t bother to open my eyes and was hoping that I was getting the sweet quick kill I had asked for. Instead I felt my body being thrown against stone once again. This time I didn’t hit with too hard of an impact. Opening my eyes I found myself laying on the ground of the mausoleum once more.
Picking myself up a little I began to cough and rub at my throat. There was a few soft spots as to where my wind pipe was being squeezed and where bruises would start to form. As I looked up and through my cloudy vision from the lack of air to my brain and the copper stands of hair that had fallen into my eyes I watched as the thin ray of light that was lighting up the room start to dim. The door was being closed.
“No!” I shouted while trying to get to my feet. I didn’t feel like being trapped into the darkness. Sure I would be able to get my way out of the stone building if I really wanted to but there was information that I held now that needed to get to the Lord as soon as possible. Before I could get to the door though I was placed back in utter darkness. My fists flew into the door and began to beat on it. “Let me out!” I cried and felt like I was some little kid throwing a fit.
On the other side of the wall all I could hear was a chuckle and the feeling of the giant werewolf starting to shift. The figure leaning against the door soon felt my size as they called over their shoulder. “You can come out when you’re ready to be reasonable.” Growling lowly I didn’t like that answer. Apparently my growl was heard as there was another chuckle as the door was open.
“Down girl,” was all I heard as I felt myself being blown away. Standing right in front of me was the man from earlier. That wasn't what surprised me though. It was his eyes… They were my alpha’s eyes.
