Living in Denial
If you only knew what I had been through
I doubt you would understand
Even if the truth may be known
that no one suffers alone
Almost everyone goes through the same thing
How can you understand
If you had not been there?
I doubt you would see it through
Would you abandon me just to be free
I think you would leave me behind..to save yourself
I know what people can be like
Scared to see it through
Scared to accept the truth
Living in denial is all they do
So here I go again..on my own
Running blindly on a path
Running out of track
I'm running out of time
Everything withers and dies
Thanks to the power of time
No one can understand
Does it even matter what a person thinks?
Perception isn't so easily changed.
Blinded by the light..guided by darkness
No one can find their true path
In the amount of time that I had lived
I was always left behind
Forgotten just like old books
I stood the test of time
Knowing that I will never find my one true path
How can you understand
