I went out Christmas shopping today! gonk

It is the last time I try and go out with my family without all our cell phones. I had no idea where my father was all day! And he was the one who brought us all to the mall, so he was my ride home. X__X;

Anyway... it was really hectic. I did manage to find a nice skirt and blouse, which was paid for by mom, so that was an early gift from her. ^_^

OH. THEY HAD CHICKY SLIPPERS IN JC PENNY. WTF? Okay so, they are really supposed to be ducklings, but they look like Chickies to me. THEY WERE OUT THOUGH DDD: So I'm going to go back later this week to see if they have more. That would be so cool to have chickies irl~ [on Gaia would be much better but hey, I'm not choosey].

Jimbo tried on this cute 30's-esque hat and I was like SQUEEEE OwO <333

Mom hated it though and refused to buy it for her. I'll see if I can get it for her next time I go back. =X

Um what else. Saw some nice scarves XD But I didn't buy anything beside the skirt and blouse. Way too tired/poor.

So that was my outing for today. Tomorrow I plan on going to Walmart to buy things for the indoor goldfish pond I'm making. I have one goldfish right now, his name is Kakashi [heehee]. He's over 3 inches long and outgrew his baby tank quite a few months ago. I've been pressed for cash, so I haven't been able to upgrade his living-quarters. The tiny tank was so hard to keep clean since he is putting out much more waste now that he is a much bigger fishie. He seemed so miserable in that little thing so Jimbo and I found a clean Rubbermaid container that we used to put a few bits and bobs in and set him up in that! It's a little over two gallons [versus his half a gallon tank omg!! poor fish!!]. We have an air stone in there to keep the water somewhat circulated. There are also a couple of aquadic plants adrift on the surface of the water and he just loves to drive them around for some reason.

Now that we've moved him into this container we realize how insanely bord the poor thing must have been before. In his new uh... tupperware.. [LOL?] there is soo much more room to swim and it makes me so happy to see him doing his laps T.T [HE COULD HARDLY MOVE IN HIS LAST TANK D: OMG.] Also he had pretty bad ammonia burn, which is what made us snap and dig out that Rubbermaid container. My family is just so busy these days and we hardly have time to take care of ourselves, muchless our poor fishie. But Jim and I have been deticating my free time [Gaia/RO time] to taking care of our fish. Usually we just sit staring at him while he jets around in the bubbles from the air stone [in his smaller tank he couldn't get at the bubbles because they ran up a tube and pushed water out the top, so I am pretty sure it is a brand new sensation to him xD &3]

His ammonia burn is getting better now. [It's caused by bad water conditions] We change his water every other day and top it up a little every day [since we take small amounts of water out a little at a time when we are vacuming out his poops and left over fish food]. I can't wait until we set up a better place for him. We have to take the move slowly though. He only has just gotten used to the bigger space in the Rubbermaid container and it's been over a week. So we will set up the pond and leave it fish-less for a few days so it can get a good cycle going and for the plants to settle in.

Afterwards we will put Kakashi in first before the other fish so he can scout out there area and get familiar with it.

We're going to keep the two other goldfish we buy in a different container for at least a week or two to make sure they don't have any parasites or disease that we didn't notice when buying them. When we're sure they're healthy we'll put them in the pond with Kakashi. I don't want to risk loosing Kakashi just because we're impatient to fill our pond with fish. If he managed to survive the torture-tank for a year, I'll be damned if I loose him to some parasites or something. u_u

So yeah, that's our project for the next week or two. xD
