Rineco's story (chapters 5-9)
CHAPTER 5

I awoke the next morning to the serine darkness of the coffin. I opened my eyes slowly, looking into this darkness for a moment, and remembering where I was. Pushing my hands against the cover, it lifted, and I sat up, studying the quiet dull room.
I could use some light in here, I thought to myself, and put my hand to the side of the coffin, feeling around for the candle, and match that Yoru had left here for me. I could not quite see my surroundings yet, since my eyes hadnt adjusted and I was still half asleep.
"Here it is!" I muttered to myself, struck the match, and lit the candle. The room lit up slightly from the flickering candle wich made shadows dance across the room. I got out of the coffin, and began to straighten the blankets and pillows in it.
"Huh? what is this." a letter? I asked myself, taking out an envelope which had been hidden underneath the pillow.

Dear my sweet daughter Rin-eco,

I have made this coffin especially for you, out of the finest wood around here. I know you will grow into it in the future, and I hope that you will like it very much. Have sweet dreams always.

Your father,
Kidosho

Tears came to my eyes as I stared at the letter. I had not known my father, and my mother would never speak of him, no matter how much I begged. So this met a lot to me.
But, my big question, was how in the hell Yoru had gotten his hands on it. Was he some how related, or a friend somehow?
I folded the letter, stuffing it in the pocket of my long jacket that I had on over my short, silk blue dress, grabbed the candle, then ran upstairs and out of my bedroom.
"YORU!!!!?? YORU?!!!!" I yelled running through the halls. Just as I turned the corner, there he was, stareing at me with huge eyes.
"What is wrong miss Rin?! I heard you yelling for me!" He said, looking into my eyes with concern.
I grabbed the letter out of my pocket and shoved it in his distrustful face.
"You knew my father made this for me! didnt you?!!! and how in the hell did you get your damn hands on it?!!" I yelled, raged at him for not explaining to me yesterday.
"Woa, woa, calm down!! Just relax. Yes, I knew. But its not your bussiness how I got a hold of it."
"Well! I think it is!! It has something to do with my father so yes it does have something to do with me!! Now explain!!!" I could feel my self trembling from anger, and was ready to kill him at any moment, which he must have noticed.
"Ok, ok..calm the hell down.
First off, my father was friends with your father..until he found out about you. He had rage on all half breeds, since my mother had died after my birth, and he blamed me for it. Well, that is why my father had killed yours, but he ended up dieing from that battle too. Well, I had a nanny also at the time, and we moved here. She brought everything that we had at the werewolf village. I was only about 2 at this time by the way. But she had also stolen things of value from your father.
Your coffin is worth a lot of money Rin. Because of its designs, and the very very rare wood that it is made with-which is now extinct.
At age 5, I had my first craveing for blood. I couldnt resist it, and I knew if I didnt get it soon, I would die. The only liveing creauture even near here besides animals was the nanny. I bit her, and ended up killing her. You see, Since I am four different breeds, it has made my bite deathly posionus for some reason. So from age 5, I had lived on my own here. I hate it..very much, and I wish for my family to be once again alive. I never knew my father much, and wish that I had more time to before your father killed him..."
He glared me, like it was my fault for him fathers death.
He had a specific look in his eyes, which I hadnt seen before. Both his eyes became a deep red color suddenly.
He was blameing me..and was planning on getting revenge by the looks of it.
He smiled, but this time, his smile was filled with hatered and evil.
"I am so glad that you had came to visit miss Rin. I have been quite looking forward to meeting you." His glare on me intensened, along with his crazed smile. I began to back up.
"It wasnt my fault..I had no control over our fathers fighting. You know that!"
"Sure, you had no control over it..BUT if you hadnt been born, then that never would have happened. Maybe then I could've got to know my father, and made him accept me!"
I stared into his eyes. In a way, I had felt bad for him.
"I had no control that I was born damn it!! No one has that control!! Do you hear what you are saying to me?!"
Instead of making him realize what I was saying, I only made things worse.
Much worse.
"You know Rin..That you are not just half werewolf and vamp, right?"
I looked at him confused. "What are you saying?!"
"So..you do not know?!"
"What?!"
"Rin..Your father had a special power running through his veins. This was passed down to you-which explains your tattoo's. You hold the power of light, and darkness both, and you hold more power than any one. This is something that your father had not chose to do..because your choices can have either great..OR completely devistateing outcomes. But you..you should use the power in your veins, and your heart. Do not be an idiot like your father. He was scared of the evil, and all the loss of lives that this power could very well be capable of causeing. It is something that you have to learn how to control with time.If you are wondering how I know so much about this, I have studied it very much in my life time. It interests me. I envy you..I envy you a lot that you are able to weild this. Another thing with it, is that you can learn ANY spell, as instead of being limited on your power...you have no boundries Rin!!"
He yelled loudly at me. I backed up more in disbeleif of all that he had just told me.
"But...heh...that is not all I have learned about this great power. I also learned..that If you kill a person with that power, you can obtain it for yourself." His smile grew bigger as he began to walk towards me.
"Funny to think...just killing one person, and I could hold all the power in the world in my hands!!"
"But..what would you chose to do with that much power?.."
"HAHAHA thats the dumbest question ever Rin! I could have the world if I wanted it!! I could have anything!!"
"So..you would use it for your own benifit...not try to help our world?"
"HAH!! so your pure hearted too?! Well..I do understand your veiw..but this world, and its pathetic people mean nothing at all to me!!"
I glared at him."Wait..with my power..is re-genaration possible?"
"Ofcoarse! Like i said, you can learn any power or spell. You just have to learn how to control it. But what will it matter to you?! Cuz' Im not giveing you the chance to control it. Your power is going to be mine!!"
He yelled, then lunged at me, making me dodge it easily.
"You selfish b*****d!!" I yelled at him as I took off running through the mansion, which seemed like a maise to me.
Where am I going? I asked my self raceing down the dark musty hallways of the mansion. I looked behind me as I ran, only seeing darkness. No peirceing red eyes ran towards me, so I began to slow down into a walk, studying the darkness around me throughly. I could see semi-clearly in these hallways, so I would not be able to see Yoru if he was hideing.
This seemed like I was trapped in an old horror film. Being lost in a huge confuseing pich black mansion with an evil vampire made me think this might not have a happy ending. I turned down a hall, seeing something that gave me confidence and hope back.
Light!
I ran towards it, only to be tripped half way down the hall.
Yoru stood there at my side looking down at me with his creepy, crazed smile. I looked up at him with my big blue-green eyes, him stareing back as if he could see right through me. I continued stareing, my eyes filling with tears, which were ignored. His smile faded some as he studied me more, then suddenly grabbed my mess of snow white hair, and flung me into the wall next to us. I closed my eyes as pain riveted through my body from the hard collision. Opening my eyes slowly, red eyed Yoru appeared face to face with me.
"Thought you would get away from me, eh?" He smiled again, running his hand down my right cheek bone to my neck.
I shivered, and raised my hands to push him back. I put all my strength together, and pushed forward on his chest, hopeing to get him to move so I could get out of there and find some place safe to hide.
But he was much stronger that I had been.
As I pushed forward, he did not budge, but only wrapped his pale, cold arms around me, holding me so tightly I could barely breath.
"It would be easiest for you just to stop trying." He whispered in my ear, then punched me hard between my ribs, and letting me fall to the dusty ground coughing and gasping for air.
I closed my eyes tightly, hopeing for the pain to soon subside. I opened my tear filled eyes partly, to observe what Yoru was now doing, only to be kicked again in the side, and skidding across the old dust covered floor.
My black wings shot back in reflex as I was hit, then curled up into a ball, holding my stomache tightly, my whole body trembling from the pain that had struck it. I did not open my eyes this time. The darkness that filled my throbing head seemed to be more serine than the tramatizeing and haunting look that I knew Yoru was giveing me.
This seemed to be the end, once again.
But was it?
Everytime I seemed to think it was the end, it only seemed to lead me farther into an adventure.
But where was life exactly leading me to? My destiny perhaps?
I continued thinking, as pain circulated through my body.
I had to keep going. This feeling that kept edgeing me on through this adventure..I had to figure out where it was leading me. Plus, now I know I have a completelty new thing to figure out-this whole new power thing that ran through my veins. I had to learn more about it. If I could only learn that regeneration spell, I might be able to have my life with Tsukai back once again. Not to mention...maybe I would be able to help this world, and its never ending fighting.
I smiled slightly through the pain.
Yes, I had to keep going...
I had to make it out of this.

CHAPTER 6

I could feel Yoru's eyes still studying me, as I tried to think of what to do next.
But what was I to do exactly? I was weaker that yoru was, and I knew i wouldnt be able to take much more of that.
I stood up slowly, staggering and still holding my stomache tightly. Opening my eyes gradually, I seen that he was stareing back at me ofcoarse, figureing out his next move to my destruction.
I stared back coldly at him. I felt that strange power in my heart again. I could feel my anger riseing more and more as i stared into his hateful and selfish eyes.
His look suddenly changed. I knew right then, that he seen this power in my eyes. I gave him a small cocky grin.
I felt power, even more than before. I felt like I had complete control over everything, but at the same time..no control at all.
It seemed like nothing could defeat me, but..there was something different that I felt.
I felt completely out of control at the same time..like i had no control over what I was about to do.
I felt an evil power, rushing through my veins, slowly taking over.
So this is what my father had feared so much of. Being out of control...there is so much damage that occur from this power.
I could feel my body trembling, as I looked into Yoru's eyes.
He began to back up slowly. So much fear existed in his cold eyes. I wanted to kill him, he deserved it..did he not? All of those decaying bodies up stairs..he killed all those people..he should deserve to die too, right? Shall I avenge those people that he killed? Or..would that be just as bad as him. I would still be taking his life. But..he deserves it.
I think.
I argued with myself for a moment.
what was happening to me? I was loseing more control by the minute.
so much power at once, all surgeing through my body.
There was no possible way to control that...
And not to mention, on top of all this confusion, I had the injuries that Yoru had caused, and also sharp, almost unbearable pain from this power.
It was too much.
I screamed out in pain, tears rolling down my now, ruby red eyes. My unique tattoos seemed to be burning terribly.
I dropped down hard to my knees, screaming in pain. My body shook uncontrolably, as I curled up into a ball, a river of tears streaming down my cheeks.
I looked up at Yoru with sad eyes, him still stareing back at me.
He didnt seem scared, or hateful now. He almost had this careing and concerned look on his face.
Maybe he wasnt as bad as he led on to be. Sure he killed so many people..but that is his way of liveing, his instinct, and how he survives. But he was still hateful and selfish no matter what. Although, I guess there is always some good in evil, and some evil in all good people. No one in this horrible world was pure evil, or pure good.
Atleast, I thought so.
I felt like i could destroy this world so easily right then, I had so much power. But, maybe a little too much for my body to handle. I was helpless, and completely weak and vuneralble, but powerful enough to destroy this land.
But I didnt want to do that.
I didnt want to cause destruction and evil, and have to take peoples lives.
I had to fight it. Kill myself if I had to. I Just couldnt give into this power, and let it take complete control. I had to resist it-no matter what.
Suddenly my vision of Yoru began to close into complete darkness, and my last thoughts slowly dissapeared.

CHAPTER 7

Surely I was to wake up dead, and torn into peices by power and blood thirsty Yoru.
But, to my surprise, I wasnt.
As my vision focused, I woke up in the darkness of my coffin, its soft silky blanket gently layed over me.
I focused on the darkness and quietness for a moment.
everything seemed still, but I could sence another presence in the room.
I slowly lifted up the coffin lid, a dim flickering light catching my eye to the right of me.I looked over, and flinched to the sight of yoru stareing back at me with a calm expression, shadows danceing across his pale face.
There was a moment of silence between us.
We continued stareing at eachother, me being in surprise I was still alive, and Yoru..well, Im really not sure. He had more of a bored, and calmed expression on his face.
Finally the silence was broken.
"Are you alright?" Yoru's monatone voice echoed in the hidden basement.
"Y-yea..I think so...but why-"
"I didnt kill you because...I guess...uhhg..I dont know. Something....something was stopping me I guess." Yoru looked down at the dust covered floor, as if he was ashamed of himself.
"So you do have a good heart.." I gave him a small smile, then continued to a different conversation.
"Yoru..uhmm..do you know exactly what happened to me back there?"
"Yes. Your power level got to a certain point. You had a lot of rage built up, along with pain and other emotions. You were also struggling a lot, so your power began to build up more to protect you. But with all of that happening at once, it became too much for your body to handle since your not used to it-therefore causeing you too pass out."
"Thank you." I said quietly, taking in everything I had just heard.
"Uhmm..How much damage could've I done if i wouldnt have fought that power back from being realeased?"
Yoru smiled slightly, letting out a quiet laugh.
"You could have destroyed many miles of land and people-I'll just say that. But, you very well could have killed yourself too from trying to stop that power. Your very lucky that you hadnt."
I looked at Yoru's knowledge filled eyes, then down at the ground for a moment.
would I be taking a risk still staying here? Or would it be a good thing-maybe Yoru could teach me about this power, and help me since I was obviously clueless about everything. I knew that would be dangerous..but maybe it would be worth it asking for his help. Knowing that he wasnt trusting though, made me argue with myself. He acted all nice to me and everything. Oh! and what about that crap he said about destroying his whole village and leaveing it in flames? Mostly everything he had told me had been just a huge lie.
But I didnt have too much of a choice. I had to learn more about this power. Plus-what would life be without taking chances?!
"Yoru..I have a favor to ask you...would you be willing on traveling with me, and help teaching me more about this power that I have?"
There was silence. His dull expression stayed the same for a moment as he studied my eyes, then suddenly started laughing.
"HA! you would trust someone that almost killed you?!" He yelled, laughing more.
I glared at him.
"Im not stupid. But you know about my power, and also, your not normal either-so you can probably somewhat see my veiw on things, and relate. I really need your help...and I am willing to take the risk of you trying to kill me. I have nothing else to really live for, nothing to lose. But..If I did figure this power out...then what I want most is to bring my boyfriend back.." I paused, thinking about him again. My chest began to feel heavy. I missed him so much.
Yoru could see the sadness in my eyes, and I think began to feel bad.
"Fine, fine. I will help you." He replied giveing in and patting me on the head, then stood up from the ground, offering me a hand.
I smiled up at him, grabbing his hand, and standing up in the coffin.

CHAPTER 8

"So, where are we exactly headed to, miss Rin?"
I thought to myself for a moment, thinking about his question.
Where was I exactly headed to? I was unsure. I just had this urge to keep moveing, and something in my heart leading me somewhere. I knew I had to follow it, but I couldnt help but wonder-how far would this feeling exactly take me? and where was it leading me to anyways?
"I am following a sence that I have.." I replied.
That sounded stupid to him I bet, but it made sence to me. I couldnt explain it any better. It was just a strong feeling leading me somewhere.
To my surprise, Yoru didnt think it was stupid at all.
"Ah, that makes sence. Breeds like you have special and strong feelings, sences and veiws about things. This sence...maybe it could be leading you to your destiny perhaps? Maybe you were ment for something. What do you really want to do with your powers the most? That may have something to do with it. Whatever your heart desires, this sence of yours very well could lead you to it."
I thought for a moment.
What I wanted most-that would be to have Tsukai back beside me. Secondly-to earn this worlds understanding of me, and eachother so I could stop this constant battleing between clans. But that was all I could think of.
"I want Tsukai to be with me once again, and to also help this world and its constant fighting."
"Ok then..." Yoru replied, looking away from my eyes slightly.
"thats a waste of that power...."
I heard him mumble lightly under his breath.
"No, its not!" I yelled in anger.
"Well...hmm.." He paused, then a smile spread across his face. "Maybe, I could kill you, and take your power. Think about it...You would get to be with your boyfriend in the afterlife. And..I suppose I could end this worlds battle.." He replied with a smile, and a small laugh.
Once again, I noticed that power and blood thirsty look in his cold eyes.
I frowned, and gave him a glare.
"Uhh, no. I know exactly how you would end this battleing-and I wanna be with Tsukai in this life."
"Ok, fine. I will help you...still, you should pay me somehow for helping you with this task." He smiled at me, and carressed his fingers down my neck.
Greedy Idiot.
I jerked away from him and gave him a glare.
"You know what? Forget it! Im just going to go on my own. Your selfish! You dont care about anyone but yourself." I yelled in his face, then turned my back, staying alert, and began to walk away towards the exit out of the mansion.
"Wait!"
I stopped in my tracks, and turned around, to come face to face with Yoru. I flinched, as he grabbed on to my shoulders, and pushed me against the wall again.
I glared at him.
"You are not leaveing here without me gaining your power. If you would have let me travel with you, then maybe I would've been nice enough, and let you complete your tasks before doing this-but no! you are not just going to leave here! got that?!" He yelled in my face, but with a crazed smile.
I glared at him still, looking deeply into his cold eyes.
"Why did you not kill me last time though? You easily could've done it then."
Yoru just looked me back in my eyes, his smile starting to fade into a small frown.
"..I am not sure why. But something stopped me last time-heh, maybe cuz you looked so weak and pathetic laying there passed out. I dont know. But im not going to let my feelings get in the way this time!" He yelled, his voice raiseing more.
I frowned, still stareing provoked, but calmly at him. I had to come up with an idea to stop this-and now!
Suddenly an idea came to me. I smiled slightly, Yoru looking back at my smile in confusion.
"Well, would you gain power just from drinking my blood? Or do you have to bite me?"
"I can gain power just from that wonderful blood of yours.." He said, almost in a mesmirized voice, as he ran his hand across my neck again.
"Ok then.." I paused nervously, pushing his cold hands away from my neck.
I then took a small knife out of my pocket. Yoru's eyes lit up, and I could see that he got defenceive.
I then ran the pocket knife across a small part on my arm. crimson red blood imediately began to arise from the small cut, and began to drip down my arm slowly. I looked up at Yoru, who's face held a large smile, as he took my arm.
"Wait." I paused. Yoru glanced up from my bleeding arm to my eyes.
"If I let you do this about every 3 days, would you be willing to travel with me, and not threaten to kill me anymore?"
There was no answer for a moment, as he glanced down at the bright red blood that was about to drip from my arm.
"Yes..I will. That way I can still gain a lot of your power.." He smiled, and lifted my arm near his mouth.
"You promise?"
yes, I knew that was a stupid thing to ask to someone untrustful..and possibly with some anger management issues, but maybe-just maybe I could earn his trust in the end. If not, then I would be much more powerful by then, so it wouldnt matter much. I would be plenty strong enough to defeat him.
Yoru looked me deeply in the eyes. This time, I was pretty sure he wasnt lieing. He had a tone, and sence to his voice that seemed loyal and promiseing.
"Yes, I promise you miss Rin."
I nodded my head, and looked away from my arm, closeing my eyes.
I could feel his lips gently press against the minor wound on my arm. He then began quickly sucking my blood into his mouth. Closeing my eyes tighter, I thought about Tsukai to calm myself. There wasnt much pain to this though. Just a small stinging feeling that wouldnt let up-but was barely noticable. It was like an annoying mosquito that wouldnt leave, but yet, oddly had a slightly sootheing affect. After about 10 seconds, I did notice a dizzy and unstable feeling that began to come over me from the quick blood loss. But I still said nothing. I had been counting in my head since he had started to drain my blood.' 24 seconds, 25 seconds, 26 seconds...' Time seemed to keep stretching, and went slowly. '31 seconds, 32 seconds...' Everything was begging to spin in my mind. "Stop.." I could barely get the words out of my mouth. Did he hear me? '42 seconds, 43 seconds...' "Yoru...stop.." I managed to say a little louder, but weakly. I could feel myself begin to sway now, and felt yoru wrap his arms tigher around me to hold me in place. I was about to pass out. I suddenly felt the small amount of pressure on my arm let up. Everything went completly black.
"You sure cant last long without passing out, can you?" I heard Yoru whisper in my ear, then soon began to see his face appear in front of me. I blinked a couple times, and rubbed my eyes, glanceing at the arm that had been cut. "Dont worry, I cleaned the wound, and wrapped your arm. Your fine. And, I must say-You have the best blood that I have ever tasted!" He licked his lips. I sat up slowly, and leaned against Yoru who was sitting by me, or by my coffin. Everything was still somewhat spinning. "Ugh..How long was I out for?" I mumbled, but loud enough for him to hear. "Uhh..bout' 4-5 hours." He answered back, glanceing at the shiney black watch that took up his right wrist. A black and white striped hand warmer took up the space on his left wrist. I studied him for a moment, seeing that he must've gotten dressed in new clothing, and got around while I was out cold. Yoru had a black, white, and red T shirt on, which had a fancy design in the middle, along with new looking charcoal jeans, with a shiney silver chain hanging down the left side. The black clothing looked good against his flawless pale skin. I then looked up, my eyes meeting his white, and ocean blue eyes. His white bangs, which were only slightly ligher than his skin hung over some of the right side, and middle of his face, almost touching his smooth red, full lips. The rest of his hair was just combed, and went over his pointy, almost elven ears, stretching down to almost his shoulders.
I then looked at the surroundings. We were in the basement, or secret passage of my temporary bedroom. There were several lavender candles that surrounded my coffin, filling the air with a serine scent, instead of the musty basement smell. I suddenly felt Yoru shift positions, then take my hand, and begin to stand up, pulling me along with him. I stepped out of my coffin slowly, and took a few unsteady steps with Yoru towards the small staircase. He stopped and glanced at me for a moment. "You alright?" I looked up from the ground into his mysterious eyes. "yea, I think so. Just still a little unsteady from the blood loss I guess." Yoru nodded his head. "Alrighty, Just making sure miss Rin." He replied, then looked back towards the staircase, begging to walk towards it again, me stumbleing along with him.
Yoru seemed nice, and polite now. Like he cared. But did he really? Or was he only putting on an act once again? Yoru was harder to read than anyone I had ever encountered, so it was very difficult to tell. He had acted like this when I had first came here, but that had all been an act. Was he planning something again, or could he be trusted? I was truthfully lost on that answer. All I could do is keep my guard up for now.
I walked with him up the stairs to my room. "Miss Rin, would you like to stay here a couple more nights, to rest up more, or would you like to head out on our adventure tonight?" Yoru asked.
Well, I did still need to rest up a little more, and get cleaned up. "Lets stay here till tomorrow, then leave out. What time is it now?" Yoru glanced at his watch once again. "Tis 9:42 pm, so Tuesday night."
"Ok then. Can you stand to be in the light?"
"Yes, but I have to take breaks after a while. Too much sunlight after a while does begin to affect me."
"Ok then, Im the same way. Well, I know theres forest for a long ways out here, so well get some protection from the sun from all the trees. We shall leave out tomorrow evening. That should work out good." Yoru nodded. "Alright, sounds fine to me." I smiled, and sat on the edge of my bed. "Where would your restroom be at? I would like to take a shower, and clean up some."
"Its just out of your bedroom, then the door straight across the hall. I think that I still have some clothes here that the nanny used to wear. She was pretty young, and had a small figure like you. They should fit if you would like to try them. If not, I have a washer and dryer here. I may live out in the middle of the no where, but I still have updated technology here. There is a laptop in the office, along with videogames, and dvd's and movies. There should be everything here that you need. Just look around or ask me. But Im going to go to my library and do some studying for now. Just come into my room, and yell for me when your done I guess." Said Yoru with a smile, and walked towards the door. "I will show you to the nanny's old room if you would like me to?" I thought for a moment. It would be weird to wear clothing from someone deceased..not to mention someone that Yoru had first killed; But, I did need some variety in clothing till I could get my own. (which I didnt know how that would happen-considering I am completly broke..) "Sure, I'll take a look." I replied, getting up, and following Yoru down the hallway, to the liveing room, and went in another hall, with several doors down it. He turned to the first door on the right, and opened the door, which creaked loudly. The door opened up to a room the size of mine, with sky blue walls, covered in paintings, a pure white ceiling, and silver carpet. The room was also arranged very simular to what mine was. I looked around me, feeling as if I was being watched. Was this room haunted by the nanny's ghost? Possibly. I could definetly sence a presence in here. That did not bother me though. I walked over to a white dresser with Yoru, and opened one of the drawrs. It was filled with victorian style dresses. The other two drawrs were also filled with lacy and frilly type clothes that were all victorian style. I smiled, and gently pulled a dress out of the middle drawr. It was knee length, and a mint green color, laced down the front with silky, raven black ribbon, along with the ends of the dress, and the long sleves, and also the colar. The bottom of the dress flared out slightly, and was somewhat pleated. There was a bow in the middle of the colar. The dress was laced up in the back part with the black ribbon. I smiled, satisfied with the clothing. "I like this one. I always thought that victorain style clothing was pretty." I announced, closeing the drawr, and looking at Yoru. "I guess I will get cleaned up and dressed now then." I said, then began to walk towards the door, Yoru following me. "Ok then. I shall be in my library then. Just knock on my door when your finnished."
"Ok then, I will." I smiled, and walked into the bathroom. I sat the dress on a small table along with the towells and other bathroom supplies that had been left on it, and began getting undressed. After figureing how to turn the shower on, I got in.
The warm water fell down on me like a gentle rain. I closed my eyes, just standing there for a moment, relaxing, then began to wash up. As soon as I was done, I turned off the shower, and stepped out, grabbing the towell I had left on towell hanger next to the shower/bath, drying off, then got dressed.
The dress fit me to profection, hugging every curve on my body, but wasnt too tight, and felt comfortable. The fabric had been stretchy somewhat also, and very soft, feeling like velvet against my skin. I wiped the mirror off in front of me with my towell, and stared back at my reflection. Once again, It didnt seem like myself. I was still in my vampire form, my skin fare and smooth, seeming white as snow against my unique turquise tattoo's that cover me entirely. My blue, left eye stuck out like a unique saphire, filled with detail, and bright as if I was standing in peirceing sunlight. My right green eye also stuck out like an emerald, shineing luminously. My hair wasnt as white as it usually was, and was somewhat messy and clung to me from being drenched. It now had a blue tint to it, which went along with my tattoo's and left eye very well. I walked away from the large ornamental mirror, and opened the door, making steam drift out into the chilly air in the mansion like a mysterious spooky fog. I walked towards Yoru's near room, and looked at the knocker that was located in the middle of the door. It was silver, and covered with stones of red. I drew the knocker back, and slowly tapped it against the door, making an echoing sound throughout the barren mansion. Waiting for a moment, I concentrated on the stillness around me. I heard nothing. "Yoru?!" I called impatiently after about a minute, then tapped the embellishing door knocker once again against his black painted door. Another minute passed by, making me more impatient. I opened the door slowly, making it creak loudly, and peaked inside. Nothing.
"Yoru?" I said, and stepped in his room.
He had a silver ceiling, along with losely knitted silver carpet, and crimson red walls. His room seemed very sterile and dull. No posters or pictures hung on the walls, no papers on his desks, or books. No clothing or anything covering his floor till it was not visable. Everything was completly organized and very clean. It was almost like a normal human, clean teenager room. (except the coffin) A coffin, the color of his walls was placed against the wall, covered in ruby like stones like on his door knocker. Silver designs, simular to mine also covered it.
He must have a special form, just like me. I thought to myself, admireing his coffin, then studied the rest of his room a little more. He had a walk in closet on the opposite side of the room to his coffin. This was filled with clothing, mostly colors of red, black, silver, and dark blue. He had a desk, a laptop sitting on it, along with a couple notebooks stacked, with a pencil laying neatly on top of them. That was about all there was to his room. I looked around me again. "Yoru? Where are you at?" I stood there quietly. Nothing. I turned around, and took a few steps towards the door. Hands suddenly rested against my shoulders. I jumped, making an embarassing squeeking sound, and turned around towards the figure. There, Yoru stood infront of me with a smile. "Hey, sorry for the late response. was busy with something in the basement."
I calmed myself down after realizeing that it was only Yoru. "Oh, you have a basement also?" I asked. "Yes." He answered, leading me over to his boring desk, and opened a secret compartment in it, reveiling a small black switch. Yoru flipped the switch back, making a secret passage appear in the middle of the room like mine had done. "So thats where you were at all that time!" I concluded. Yoru smiled, and nodded his head, then began walking down the spiral black staircase.
Now this looked more like a room, just without the bed and clothing. Papers and books were scatterd across the cherrywood floor. The mysterious staircase had led down to a pretty large room, about the size of six, possibly seven classrooms. The ceiling was a dull silver color, dim lit shandeleers hanging down from it. The walls in this room were also a blood red color. The floor was completly made with the cherry wood. A large silver, metal desk was set against a wall here, looking as if there was a canopy of papers and books over it. A laptop was sat on this desk also, being used. There was something on the screen, but it wasnt visable because of the small font, and distance I was at. I then studied the rest of the room. There were several bookshelves, completly filled with books-and I mean COMPLETLY! I dont think he could stuff another book in them if he wanted to; and by the looks of the floor and his desk, he needed about 5 or 6 more large bookshelves. Glanceing at the rest of his cluttered basement, I noticed that in the back, he had a mini-kitchen, and also a TV area, along with a stereo and a few videogame systems. He had a few couches and chairs also, surrounding his big-screne TV. I couldnt help but wonder, where he got the money to- #1, aford all of this technology, and #2., aford the electricity for this mansion. Unless... I thought for a moment. Unless he uses magic to power the electricity; and maybe he had inherrited a lot of money, or, possibly used magic to get whatever supplies he wanted. I was kinda stunned by this room. It was completly different and unique from any other room in the mansion. It wasnt barren and sterile. It looked like someone actually lived here. I liked Yoru's room a lot. It was like my dream room in a way, considering my love of reading, computers, and videogames. Yes, I quite liked his actual "room."
"Wow, This is nice. But..what exactly are all these books on..and what are you working on?" I asked, picking up a random, and old looking book off the ground, which had a couple pages of notes sticking out of it. "Magic History-From the Beggining of Time Till the Current." It read. I looked up at Yoru. "All of these books are mostly about magic, like different types of magic, magical species, how magic started.Just..everything about magic. But some of my books are also just stories from authors. I quite enjoy normal books a lot also. Not only do I like reading, but writing is also a specialty of mine also. I have never gotten any of my books published, but I have several that I have completly finished." He said with a proud smile. I smiled back. "You sure are dedicated! All this reading, and your writing. I loved to write books myself, but always got bored, and never finished them. Im more of an artist. But really, I admit, Im impressed. I didnt know writing and reading were your hobby's." His smile grew bigger. "yea, I never had any visitors..well, except human ones." He laughed, showing his fangs. "But yea, I spend a lot of my free time, writing and reading, stuff like that. That is what's on my computer right now-one of my stories I have been working on. But currently..I have been looking up a lot of information on your species, and magic abilities and everything. I think you hold much, much more power than you think miss Rin. I envy you..a lot. Just, take good care of that power, and put it to use."
"Yep! I will. What time is it?" I asked. "Uhmm..it would be.." He glanced at his watch. "12:36am. So its Wensday now. Then were going to leave out this evening, correct?"
"Yea, sound alright to you?" I asked. "Yea. We should probably get some rest before we leave out tomorrow though. We can rest up through the daylight hours, then head out at sunset."
"Ok. What should we do for now though? Just wait around till then?"
"Yep. I have lots of books here, and if your hungry, theres plenty of food, and also blood in the kitchen. Just help yourself to whatever you would like." Said Yoru, shifting his weight to his left foot. "But I'll probably just stay here for now. I was in the middle of reasearching some more things on the magic you can possess-in which, you can possess any type of magic, and perform any spell, BUT, you have some special spells and such that only you can do."
"Really?Like what?" I asked in curiousity."Well, you can use these special magic during that form that you had been in. From there, I dont really know. You will figure out what special magic and such when you get in that form again."
"Alright..but how did I exactly get into that form anyhow?"
"Not sure completly, I guess when you become raged enough, or when your heart and body feels that its in danger, you transform to protect yourself. But thats all I can come up with. There isnt too much information on your rare breed, so that means that you will have to figure out a lot by yourself. There have only been a few breeds with such known power that lived very long."
"You see, a very, very long time ago, soon after time had started, and life on earth began, magic was known about by all. There were humans, and magical beings like in the present, but everyone had known about magic. One day, these, most likely about 5 thousand people had a gathering. There happened to be a new breed that had been discovered. A young, pure and innocent girl like you, about age 15, was brought to the center of these thousands of people. These people, magical and human had lived in that area for quite sometime, and were led by, I guess you could say a king. This girl, was the king's first daughter. She had just discovered her power, and was in a special form like you had been in the night you came here. The daughters father was evil, and also immortal. He was a full blood vamp. The girls mother had been full blood vamp also. So, ofcoarse they wondered what had happened, considering the girl was a breed of her very own now, and held a powerful and destructive power."
"The whole village now feared her. She was an outcast, not being accepted. Her mother would not even speak to her now, and her father wished for her to be executed, in fear she would destroy the land. The girl stood there, lost in turmoil. This was not her fault after all. Looking over the crowd, she could see the hate and dislike towards her.She wished to hurt no one. But she was different-neither magical nor human. She was a special breed. "
"Your breed is said to be sent down by a god, many generations ago. No one really knows if this is true or just a myth."
"So many who know this story say that 15 year old girl had gotten her power from an ancient god that possibly used to once exist on this planet. But who knows?"
"Maybe your sence will eventually tell you. There just hasnt been enough or your breed that we know of, to learn the history of your breed..so its a real mystery."
"Wow, I never knew about any of that. Our school that was in my village never taught much about different and special breeds, and the history of magic." I stated.
"That doesnt surprise me. Not many people know about this, because they dont take up an interest in it, or just plainly dont want to take the time to do a little research. Also, no one is really sure about the history of magic and magical creatures either-so its kind of hard for teachers to explain to magical children on how magic had started when no one knows for sure on it."
"Yea, thats true. Oh! and what happened to that 15 year old girl."
"Sadly, no one really knows about that either. It is said that when she was just about to be killed by a special dagger, and was also very weakened, her body went to protect her. But..it might have ended up killing her.Possibly , her power killed the five thousand people. But nobody knows if she was killed by her power also, or headed off to another part of the planet. So, you could POSSIBLY be a descendent from her. But once again, I do not know for sure. Her name was said to be Miasaki Tukoya."
"Miasaki Tukoya..." I mumbled under my breath as an un-explainable feeling ran through me. That..seems familular..but I know I have never heard of her before. Does that make any sence?" I asked, that weird feeling still running through my veins, putting me in a daze.
"Yes, it does if you are a descendent of her, or if you are both some how connected."
"Oh, and what were you saying about a special dagger. I remember when they were about to kill me at my village, there was an object wrapped. It looked about the size and shape of a dagger."
"Most likely, thats what they were planning on killing you with. Those kind of daggers work for special, and half breeds. It has a special type of power, to where when penetrated through a figure such as a half breed, It will weaken them, draining every ounce of power they possess till it kills them. The dagger can also release this magic that it drains from the subject if a special spell is announced before penetrateing another beign with it. Then they may possess that power."
"Ok..thank you for explaining all that." I shifted my weight to my opposite foot.
"No problem. Glad to spread my knowledge." Said Yoru, as he sat down in his computer chair. "Oh, and if you would like, I have some lugage bags, you can pack some of those clothes and stuff in it. They are in the closet upstairs, straight from my room. Be sure to take some clothes that had belonged to the nanny too, if you would like." Yoru offered, looking me in the eyes.
"Ok, I guess I will. Then I should probably find something to eat and good a good nights rest-as you should also."
"Yes, I will. I shall see you in the morning then, and remember, If you need anything, most likely I will be in here."
"Alright. Goodnight." I replied as I turned around, and walked towards the secret staircase that led up to his "room."
