The sea never foretold this
Thus maybe it's not too late.
For it's that first time, that one true kiss
When your lips touch mine
And then you're not there, that dream I will miss
When I fall back in bed and slowly close my eyes
It is you I want, my one true bliss.

Sometimes I wonder if you ever notice me.
If this is true love without either of us knowing
Or if it's simply not meant to be.
If you look at me with longing
Or if it's me you really see?

I see many things when I look into your eyes.
But none of those are right
And I ask "are you just all lies?"
I want to find out someday
But I don't want it to end with echoing cries.
So I ask you if my love prevail
Or would you care if it dies.

Would you feel bad if my heart broke?
Or would you ever know?
What if my words were never spoke?
The words that can't even begin to express my feelings.
Would the tears on my cheeks soak?
Soak into my cheeks and make them brittle.

Is this really love?
Do you think you'll ever notice me?
Will this love fit right like the right sized glove?
Will love ever prevail in the end?
Will our love become a push or shove?
Will we overcome the odds, and could we?
Will we ever really rise above?

Because that's a love I don't want to can.
I want a love where we don't have to hide our passion.
A love where things don't always go according to plan
But they still work out in the end.
And a love that's far beyond our arm span.
A love that works with or without trying.
That love that I want that is too big to can.

So I'll see you around.
If you even see me there.
I'll always be waiting to hear that sound.
The sound of your lovely voice in the halls.
The sound that suddenly makes my heart pound.
A sound so small
It's like your footsteps on the ground.
Not that is a sound I want to hear...
A sound among sounds.
