One day a young couple were on their way to their wedding when the car crashed an killed both of them. The couple found themselves sitting in front of the pearly gates of heaven.When Saint Peter arrived to welcome them into heaven they had a question for him.
"Can we get married in heaven?" the couple asked.
St. Peter frowned, "Let me check," and he walks away.
The couple waited by the gates for quite a while. Then they started to doubt whether getting married in heaven meant they would be stuck together for eternity even if it didn't work out.
After waiting three months, St. Peter returned.
"You can get married in heaven," he told the couple.
"Great," the couple replied. "But if things don't work out, can we also get a divorce in heaven?"
At this St. Peter became red in the face from fury and threw down his clipboard.
"We didn't mean to upset you," the couple quickly responded to this abrupt action. "Please tell us what we said wrong."
"It took me 3 months to find a priest up here," St. Peter replied, "How long do you think its going to take to find a lawyer?"
