Wow. Friday night was one of the most awkward nights of my life. But at the same time, I had a blast, and it turned out to be one of the best nights of my life.

Allow me to explain. After work on Thursday night my gay friend Dan kidnapped me and I spent the night at his house. I skipped out of work on Friday to hang out with Dan and to meet the crew at the Rebar, where he works at night. After running around town all day with him and his friends, we all went out. Thing is, it was a gay bar. With men in drag. Men in drag who looked better than I do. Sad. But anyway, I get there that night and I'm scared to death. What do they think of me, will I fit in, what do I do in such a situation.... things like that. But later on that night they had a little show where the "ladies" got up on stage and sung and danced. What makes this awesome is that one of the "ladies" was one of my managers at work, Steve. At the club, however, he parades around as "Mercedes". He looks hot as a woman, I'll give him that. After the little show everyone was dancing. I made a new friend named Cory, and he and I danced most of the night until my boyfriend Jonathan showed up. And from there, of course, I was hanging off of him. He didn't complain, of course, and was very welcoming to my affection. Seeing him that night made everything so much better because we hadn't been able to see each other all day. Anyway, after that, the bar closed at 2 so Jon took me home.

Cut to Saturday. Skipped out on work again, and stayed home. Jonathan was supposed to spend all day with me on Saturday, but due to the fact that his mother was out, his father was at work, and his little brother was at a friends house, he got stuck at home grandma-sitting. I slept most of the day away, only waking up periodically to call and see how things where going. Around 5:30 I finally got up, and around quarter of 7 Jonathan finally came over. He explained to me that he was so pissed about not getting to be with me all day that he actually picked up his swords and went outside to releive some stress. At first I didn't think it was that big of a deal until he explained to me that he normally doesn't do that, and that he realized that he would willingly destroy the world just for me. He told me then that he realized that he loved me.

I would have to say that this weekend has been the greatest weekend of my entire life. And I wouldn't trade my friends for anyone else in the world. With friends like these, why would I?
