Where I post things that need to be posted
Name: Vetis
Age: 1347
Gender: Male
Species: Demon
House/Alignment: Unknown/Chaotic Evil
Occupation: Corrupter, Tempter, demon of locusts and insects in general (but mostly locusts), Advisor to the Demon King, Apollyon
Pets/Creatures/Summons: Can call locusts at will
Physical Description: His skin is a grey-blue-green colour, sometimes shimmering brightly in light. His hands are basically elongated claws, yet he still manages to pick things up quite easily. He has long locks of dark grey hair flowing down to his lower thighs. He has three small, smooth, black horns on his head, two on the side and one in front. He also has four larger, ribbed, white horns that are on either side of his head, the tips stained with an unknown red colouring, possibly food dye or wine or...something else. The seven horns together almost resemble a crown, but not quite. He has hooved feet and grey fur covers them. Golden tattoos swirl around his body in a series of strange, unknown symbols. Also, there's the four red eyes thing, but that should be obvious. If stared into long enough, you might see the glowing flames of hell, though that could just be a myth.
Personality Description: Vetis is a tempter. He thrives on corrupting the innocent, the not so innocent, and the downright guilty. A sadist, he often takes much pleasure in strolling through the dungeons of hell. While not one to get his hands dirty, he has, on occasion, partook in the torture of fallen souls. Whenever he does hurt someone, whether mentally or physically, his four red eyes take on a brighter glow, lighting up a bit.
Special Abilities: Can dissipate into a cloud of locusts, though too many times in a small period of time can cause irreparable harm. Can change his form to be more appealing, but it eats up his energy.
Special Defences: Vetis borrows from other insects as well as the locusts. Using his long, flowing locks of dark grey hair (how romantic), he can create a hardened hair cocoon as a final resort in battle, as an alternative to, you know, death. The obvious drawback of this is that he cannot move at all. He can also use a similar ability in a less hardcore way, by hardening his skin so he's less susceptible to blows. The main drawback of this is that movement is a bit less fluid and graceful. More clunky, for lack of a better term. Vetis can also be reborn again and again. If he dies, he reappears as an egg in the realm of hell he occupies. The drawback of this is that it will take roughly a week to fully mature into his previous form, and he will lose whatever he had on him at the time of his death.
Weaknesses: Weaknesses are the typical weaknesses for any hellbeast. Objects of faith, such as crosses, holy water, etc., can cause immensely painful burns or death in cases of prolonged exposure. Plain old water also affects him, though not as much. It results in lesser burns, except, of course, in the case of prolonged exposure or complete immersion.
Weapon: Sharp, whip-like fingers that can extend and flail about dangerously, much like tentacles, though not as exploitable. Also has a barbed sword strapped to his back, with a similar look to the leg of a locust.
Quirks: Often clicks his tongue when amused, aroused, or when his curiosity has been piqued. When angered or annoyed, a subtle shimmer of red runs through his skin. Also, every so often, he'll fall into a habit of speaking in rhyme.
History: When Vetis fell from the heavens (metaphorically speaking. It was more like a descent), any memory of his previous 'life' was erased from his memory. He was basically reborn as a blank slate, ready for his lord's touch to guide and shape him into his current form. Apollyon took him under his wing, treating him as a sort of son. His obvious preference to Vetis did not earn Vetis any friends. Vetis often wondered if this was on purpose. He learned early on that he'd have to get tough or die. As a younger demon, he began to grow more and more attached to the locust, and over time, he began to embody more and more the appearance of a locust, beginning with the multiple eyes. He adopted his barbed sword when he became involved in a series of battles between two warring factions of hell. But his hair's always done what it does. Go figure.
