What triggers our brains to remember?
Time
Place
Person
or thing?
Especially when we're little.
If there is one thing I hope little kids remember of me, is my kindness.
I know I'm not the nicest person around nor when I need to be around these kids.
"I don't care" "Leave me alone" "Be quiet" "You're annoying" "Not now, I'm busy"
Just recently, I've finally been hearing myself and their voices too...
My niece is about 5 or 6, the same age I can recall many things, even more than my own parent.
This family doesn't recognize this like I do, if they do they show no signs of it.
I don't want her to remember this age as being ignored constantly by not only her mother and father but me as well.
I heard someone say to my brother one "She's starving for attention"
Indeed she is...
Today I saw that more than ever.
Today I was nicer to her than I have been for sometime...and she clung onto me til I knocked out.
During all of this, I was happy
Honest to God truly happy
Not that my special other doesn't make me happy mind you
But in a different sense
Prehaps, by continuing this it'll help my anger issues...and help her as well...
