Eh, I didn't know a lot about Mello, so I looked into it.
I'm good at figuring people out and I do it a lot, so I might of went to deep into his character..but here goes!
He is so self-conscience! And has self-esteem issues..and is a bit selfish. Probably very mis-guided too.
He wants to beat Near so bad, to prove something of himself. He was willing to risk his life. And other's lives for this goal. (Not to mention he wears nice leather clothes to get his attention he needs) but what striked me as weird was his life at the Orphanage. It was said that in the orpahange they are raised to be L, right? So Mello is included. He was simply raised to want that. It's like a kid, with a doctor as a father and the father pressures that child to grow up and be just like him. Even if the kid wants to be an actor or something. So Mello was raised to believe he wanted to be L, but what if he didn't want it?
