Here I lay not knowing if what I see is real or not

In the light you are a friend that I can trust for life

In the dark you are a lover that I wish to have

Both I love with heart, body and soul

but I must know what you are to me

Are you the friend?

If so I will be there for when you marry another

And I will try not shard a tear when you kiss her

Are you the Lover?

If so let me be in your arms to love you

And promise me that you will never let me go

If only I could have the light and the dark as one

Then what I see would be real to me
