Of Meeting the Council
Rose and Meeting the Council

Rose walked with Sahm and Trella and Kyrre through the mostly dirt-floored halls of the Golden Tree Palace, and tried to go through, in her mind, all that would transpire. Soon enough, there was a huge set of double doors before her, with kitsunes posted on each side. They opened the doors quickly enough that Rose barely had to slow down. That was helpful.

Rose walked into the huge area, which Sahm had told her beforehand was the White Hall. It was the size of a Quidditch field, and was about three stories tall. The ceiling, unlike the hallways with their crossed branches, was laced with ivy vines and flowering vines. It was beautiful. The floor was inlaid with stone, and on the far end of the room was a dias, with one lonely throne upon it, empty. And below the dias, a long table, with seven chairs, each occupied by a kitsune.

Rose stopped about ten feet back from the table, and Sahm, Trella, and Kyrre stopped a few feet further back.

"High Council of Green Shade," Sahm walked forward, and stood slightly in front of Rose before he intoned formally, "may I present to you Blueaecids Rose, daughter of Arxus, son of Ludan."

This started a ripple of mumbles through the seven council members.

"Blueaecids Rose, I present to you, on the far left, Councilmembers: Triis, Hirow, Fresin, Philli, Ariel, Sillis, and Newon." Sahm said, nodding to each as he spoke their names. Rose couldn't help but notice that there were other people in the Hall. Not servants, but... people who would be interested to know why the coronation was cancelled. Especially since the Royal Guard who had acted as messenger with the news was there, off to the side.

"High Councilmembers of Green Shade." Rose said. This, she remembered, she had to say correctly. "I request to be Heard, and my Title be bestowed upon me through trial of Blood."

As if Sahm's introduction hadn't been something to give the onlookers, this took the cake, it seemed. At a simple hand gesture from the Councilmember in the middle, Philli, the interior Royal Guards were ushering the onlookers towards the door. Apparently, this was a matter only for a closed Council Meeting, not an open one as they had been holding.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lial, having suddenly found himself approached by a most strange creature, was a little taken aback at first. This was not a human, nor alive even. And it claimed to be part of Rose's... extended family? He was concerned. They were trying to move away from the kinds of troubles that new technology brought about, not give it a home. Still.
He had given them shelter, as per Sahm's request. How could he not? But once they were housed, Lial frowned in their general direction.
Lial's friend and fellow Leutenant Jiak came over to stand next to Lial.
"Feels like we kinda jumped at this a bit too soon, maybe?" asked Jiak.
"Perhaps." answered Lial. "Though, after... the demons, I'm sure Rose will still be an improvement over Estefan."
"For how long? Until she misses her... television? Internet? Personal robots?" Jiak asked, playing devil's advocate for a moment.
With a sigh, Lial responded. "Hopefully long enough to hand over the keys to someone else."
Jiak just nodded.
To be honest, I've never pictured Rose to be a TV person. Internet is a bit of a touchy subject, and she's been plenty fine without... um.. whichever Robot it was, quite often.
Then again, you may be harassed by some of the more technologically advanced people on the planet..
Nissa That would be AUNTIE-D, Sir Chazu.
Nogard If they say that about Nuts and Bolts here, I'm interested to see what they say when they find out Rose has other genetics in her!
*slams Nogard against a wall* You will NOT be the one to tell them, got it?
Nogard Yeah, yeah. *rolls eyes* Oh look! Demon slaver!
Yeah, not falling for it *slyly glances around*
LOL, Chazu. Ya, no, I guess TV isnt really my bug thing. No time for it, really. But... having the internet? ANTIE-D around? My Dragonfly? And all sorts of scientific goodies... So, I guess I'd miss those?
Dragon... um... ya, I don't know. I'm worried.
I've got it! We put Foxy ears on Auntie-D, claim that she's the Kitsune Mother you were raised with, and when they say "But she's a robot." You scream and cry, confused thinking that she wasn't. They'd have to buy it. Unless they're smarter than most humans. >.>;
Sorry Chazu, but kitsunes are known for being more wily than humans, and actually play pranks on them even. They would not be fooled- or pleased.
