Kurama: Crystal… *holds out his class ring* I’d like you to be my girl.

Crystal: *gasps* Oh Kurama… I don’t know what to say…

Kurama: Say yes.

Crystal: Oh… Yes!! *Throws her arms around his neck and kisses him passionately*

--10 years later--

Crystal: I’m sick of waiting around for you to get serious Kurama!! I’m 25 years old and not getting any younger! Call me when you’re ready for commitment! *Storms out*

Kurama: Crystal!! *Slumps down onto a chair, head in his hands*

--2 weeks later--

Kurama: *on the phone* Okay babe, I’ll pick you up at 7.

--7:10 PM August 30, 2019--

Kurama: *pulls up to Ryan & Aubrey’s house and rings the doorbell tentatively*

Crystal: You’re late.

Kurama: I’m so sorry! I got caught up in traffic and—

Crystal: You were straightening your hair weren’t you?

Kurama: Yeah….

Crystal: This better be worth it.

Ryan: *appears behind Crystal protectively* Should I get Dad? He still has his old double barrel shotgun.

Crystal: No! No Ry-Ry it’s fine…

Kurama: *backs up slightly* heh heh… Ready to go Crys?

Crystal: Yes.

--They arrive 10 awkward minutes later at a fancy dinner theater--

Crystal: *raises an eyebrow at him* This isn’t your usual place.

Kurama: Yeah, I read about this place in the newspaper.

Crystal: Shall we?

Kurama: We shall. *Takes her arm and leads her to a table*

Crystal: Alright. So this is like some fancy dinner theatre thing?

Kurama: Exactly.

--they sit down--

EMC: And now, the act of the night, the man of the hour, DEREK STEPHENS!!!

Most girls in room: EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! *applause*

--A tall dark and and handsome guy with fuzzy cat ears and a tail comes onto the stage--

Derek: This ones for all you cool lady cats out there. *winks flirtatiously*

Crystal: *pupils dialate slightly and she lets out a small sigh* Ohhh...

Kurama: *looks from her to the stage, growling slightly* Hrnnn....

Derek: *starts swaying his hips to the beat*
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh,
Black and orange stray cat sittin' on a fence
Ain't got enough dough to pay the rent
I'm flat broke but I don't care
I strut right by with my tail in the air

*struts up to the front of the stage*

Stray cat strut, I'm a ladies' cat,
A feline Casanova, hey man, thats where its at
Get a shoe thrown at me from a mean old man
Get my dinner from a garbage can

*winks and wags his finger at the audience*

Yeah don't cross my path

*strikes a pose*

I don't bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alley looking for a fight
Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night
Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry,
"Wild stray cat, you're a real gone guy."
"I wish I could be as carefree and wild,
but I got cat class and I got cat style."

*winks at Crystal in particular*

I don't bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alley looking for a fight

*throws his head back*

Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry,

*tilts his head and winks again at the crowd, eyes still locked on Crystal*

Crystal: *blushing slightly, her food sitting forgotten on her plate*

Kurama: Crys? Honey?

Crystal: *snaps to attention* Wh-what??

Kurama: Is everything alright?

Crystal: Um, yes, I-I'm fine.

Kurama: *teasingly* I sense a distubance in the force.

Crystal: *giggles then sees Derek walking towards the table* omigoshomigoshomigosh!!

Derek: Well hello there.

Crystal: H-hi...

Kurama: *puts his arm around Crystal's shoulder* Hello.

Derek: Relax fox, I'm not here to steal your woman.

Kurama: How did you...?

Derek: Mrowr. *paws the air in front of him* Neko?

Kurama: Right, weird cat sense thing. *leans back in his chair grumbling* WHy are you talking to us again?

Crystal: Kurama! Don't be mean!

Derek: *raises an eyebrow* Kurama? As in the Youko Kurama?

Kurama: The one and only. Would you like me to sign something for you hotshot? *sarcasam dripping from his voice*

Crystal: Kurama, I mean it!

Derek: Like, the Kurama with a harem of nymphs at his beck and call?

Kurama: *eyebrow twitches and he whips his head around* I suppose you read that in the tabloids did you??

Crystal: Kurama, why did you bring me here anyway?? To apologize by yelling at this... guy??

Derek: Apologize?

Kurama: Mind your own buisness. Cyrstal, I wanted to ask you something but not here.

Derek: Oh why not? Too private for me?

Kurama: Yes.

Crystal: I don't need you to be all cryptic Kurama.

Kurama: I'm not b--

Crystal: You're doing it again! Acting immature like you were before!

Kurama: Immature? IMMATURE?? What happened to the days where I was the sanest one of the group??

Derek: This is too good.

Crystal: Well, apparently I was wrong. Derek, what are you doing tonight?

Derek: Nothin, just hanging out here.

Kurama: Crystal! Please just hear me out honey...

Crystal: No.

Kurama: *suddenly kisses her passionately*

Crystal: *eyes widen slightly and she kisses him back*

Kurama: *breaks kiss* At least let me ask you what I need to ask you.

Crystal: Can't it be here?

Kurama: No, it has to be somewhere else.

Crystal: Kuramaaaa. *whiney*

Kurama: You'll be mad at me if it isn't somewhere more special.

Derek: I'm sorry but I beleive Crystal and I have a date.

Kurama: I'm sorry but I believe I'm going to have to kill you if you don't leave.

Crystal: Kurama.

Kurama: Crystal, I have a very important question for you!

Derek: That's nice. You can ask her in two to four hours. *puts his arm around Crystal's shoulders and steers her away*

Kurama: Grrr.....

--In a poetry/jazz club--

Derek: So, Crystal was it?

Crystal: Yes... I'm sorry, I don't recall your name.

Derek: Stephens. Derek Stephens. *strikes a James Bond pose*

Crystal: *giggles*

Derek: I must say, you look absolutely ravishing tonight...

Crystal: Thank you! You look very handsome as well.

Derek: I've never met another person of my kind before, how did you come to ningenkai?

Crystal: I was born here, well not HERE, but in ningenkai.

Derek: I see... So what's your relation with the fox?

Crystal: Him? He's my ex-boyfriend of *counts momentarily in her head* 10 years.

Derek: *eyebrows shoot up* And he didn't propose in those 10 years??

Crystal: Which is why I broke up with him. I wonder what he was going to ask me...

Derek: That doesn't matter right now. Are you enjoying yourself?

Crystal: Yes. *looks off distantly, thinking about Kurama*

Derek: Alright, you pass the test.

Crystal: *looks up* Huh?

Derek: You pass the test, you and the fox are perfect for each other.

Crystal: This was all a test?

Derek: That I designed, correct.

Crystal: Wow...

Derek: *kisses her lightly on the lips* Thank you for a wonderful night though. Kurama is a very lucky man.

Crystal: *blushes slightly (old habits die hard, eh?)* Y-you're very welcome Derek...

--back at the dinner theatre--

Kurama: *Head down on the table, a martini next to him*

Crystal: *pats him gently on the shoulder, sliding into the seat next to him* Kurama...?

Kurama: *looks up, then frowns slightly* Oh. How was your date? *spits out the word "date"*

Crystal: Not as good as any of the ones you've taken me on.

Kurama: *straightens up a bit more, a small smile threatening to break on his face* Can we go now...?

Crystal: Sure. *stands up and they leave*

--in a rose garden--

Crystal: Why are we here...?

Kurama: *Face falls slightly* You... you don't remember this place...?

Crystal: No... Should I?

Kurama: It was where we first kissed...

Crystal: *blushes slightly* OH! Um, yeah... I totally remember. *totally doesn't*

Kurama: No you don't.

Crystal: No... I don't...

Kurama: Anyway... Sit down.

Crystal: *obediently sits*

Kurama: I've known you for a long time Crystal.

Crystal: Yeah...? So...?

Kurama: And I admit, I've screwed up a few things, but I think I'm finally about to do something right.

Crystal: What did I say about being cryptic??

Kurama: *gets down on one knee* Princess Crystal Jestine Heart...

Crystal: *gasps softly, realizing what's coming*

Kurama: I love you with all my heart... So... Will you marry me? *holds open a small black box with a white gold ring, with a single heart shaped diamond with two crystal blue sapphires set into the sides* ((I found this ring on jamesallen.com, no lie))

Crystal: Oh... YES!! *tackles him, kissing him sweetly and passionately*
