Hello Fellow Gaians!!!

My First review is going to be on the movie Inglourious Basterds.

Inglourious Basterds is written and directed by legendary director Quentin Tarantino. It is about a band of Jews who are hired by the US Army to fight against the Nazis in a special unit known to most as "The Basterds". It takes place in Nazi occupied France in the 1940's. During the movie there are several point-of-views, and I must warn parts of the review are graphic, with repeating what happens in the movie.

The story starts in 1941 where they show a dairy farmers house and a Nazi with the nickname of "The Jew Hunter" speaking in English. Eventually the story continues on and one of the Jews that was hiding under the floorboards escapes her death and lives to fight another day.

The story then jumps to introducing our "Basterds" and shows how they mercilessly kill a lot of Nazi soldiers. Including descalping them when they have been killed.

Now I don't want to give the movie away for those of you old enough to see it. I must warn it is VERY GOREY. There is one sex scene and it lasts for about 3-5 seconds. I suggest if you are squemish at all, don't see it.

However, behind the gore there are some rather funny parts. That give "The Basterds" a slight sence of them being humans.

The end is not historically correct and that's all i will give you on that front.

Overall I rate the movie at about 7/10. I don't mind gorey movies at all and this one was starting to push it for me. However, there was also humor that added to it and I felt that this movie was not a complete waste of 7 dollars.

If you are old enough and not squemish I definately think this is a movie to see.
