The football game was Deer Park against Jersey Village (my school). The marching band didn't have their uniforms ready, so we had to wear gray t-shirts, jeans, and our nice dress black shoes. Then we drove a bus to Deer Park, which was about two hours away. We looked so ghetto and poor compared to the other school! Their school colors were maroon and gold. And we were wearing only shirts and jeans!
We started moving percussion junk down to the pit area. Afterward, we sat in the stands and watched the football game till half-time. But then, it started raining sideways! And thundering!! Half the fans left and everyone else was waiting for the storm to subside under the stadium. I (the pit) didn't get to play anything that day because of the rain.
When the storm was over, we went back to the stadium and played our school's fight song. It's similar to the Notre Dame Victory March. Jersey Village lost though... 6-17. Amazing though, this one guy from Deer Park ran the full length of the park to the touch down. I cheered for him. sweatdrop Not one guy from Jersey Village could stop him.
Than we went back to the school. Unloaded the buses and got home around 1.
