Holy crap! That was freaking awesum!
Alright, so me and one of my friends had been planing on going to a Metallica concert the next time they came to town. Not that you lot, if anybody reads this, knew that. Well, anyway.

So a few days ago he told me that the time had finally arrived. Metallica was gonna be in concert in the Sel May Center in a few days. For the next three days I couldn't sit still, or stop singing classic Metallica songs under my breath.

Monday, September Fourteenth, 2009. The day. This was the day I had been waiting for for a few weeks. For all of school I had trouble sitting still. Who wouldn't if they were a Metallica fan and were going to their first concert for one of their top five bands.

When we arrived my friend jokingly told my mom I'd be back around three. I got there around eight, as so to miss the headliners. They were alright, but nowhere near what I was anticipating. They were so loud we could here them even from a great distance away, and they were only using a TENTH of what Metallica would be using. Truly this was going to rock in proportions of epicness that I had obviously underestimated what I was going to here.

9:15. They took the stage. A, no, a hush didn't descend right off. First everybody was chanting "Metallica" at the top of their lungs. Then the hush fell, for a fraction of a second and then it began. If I remember right from last night they opened up with 'Creeping Death' one of their few song's I hadn't heard. It was epic. From then, after a few songs, came 'One' follower shortly by 'Fade to Black', which the arena did, save for the lasers "Cyanide' was armond now. I really like that song.. After a while they played two of my all time favorites 'Sad but True' and 'Holier than Thou'. Up next was "Master of Puppets'! By this point I had a headache and my throught was hurting but I shouted along with the best of them. After that, if my memory serves me came another favorite, "Enter the Sandman'. About around here, I'm a bit hazy but This is a serious stab in the dark, and probably horribly off but 'Battery' came along around here. Even more shouting was done, and more thrashing. Then, this biggest suprize happened...

Lemmy from Motorhead showed up! At this point I was biting knuckle and swearing out of sheer amazement. People, yours truly, were chanting "Lemmy! Lemmy! Lemmy!(...and so on)" Motorhead is one of my top bands of all time. They were also one of the reasons Metallica ever got started. Apparently the guitarist for Metallica was a Motorhead groopy or one of them was. I couldn't make out what song they were playing but I was so phyced to se Lemmy I didn't care!

After he left there was one last song. 'Seek and Destroy'! By this point I had trouble keeping my head up but I didn't f-ing care! I managed to find the erergy too keep up an already frenzied headbanging for this song. Afterwards it took a lot of will to stay on my feet. I have never had that much fun in one evning, ever. Thank you, amen, end of story. Nothing has ever come close to the frenzy of energy that I was last night. Even now my neck is having trouble with my head. I mean it; that night it would flop forward without any goading. My neck was that tired.
