Eternal Sunshine of the Quantum Physics
Such some things that rack my mind during the long days and extremely short nights
The future Elias shook his head with a smile on his face, and looked at the younger version of himself with the type of look that one usually gives a child that has asked a naive question. "Why are you looking for a point?" the older Elias said, "Isn't it possible that you just randomly feel into some sort of gap in space and time and ended up here, which would make sense since you would be naturally drawn to a future version of yourself and nothing more?" the older Elias said as he walked back behind the bar and disappeared for a moment below it. It was the younger version that spoke now, "Well you're going to have to excuse my skeptic mind but I find that hard to believe, this is Gaia, if it was any other world, then I'd be more open to believe some weird s**t like a random anomaly in space and time, would even find rather interesting, but this is Gaia everything that happens tends to have some sort of earth shattering results. It's like a bad anime or something." Elias laughed.

The older version poked his head out and smiled. "I'm glad to see that I'm not completely retarded as a younger man." he said as he rose and walked out from behind bar carrying in hands what looked like some strange looking egg, it was almost reptilian in origion but it was huge, something that might have been laid by dinosaur or something. "Do you recognize this?" the older Elias said, though he already knew the answer. "Ah, no" The younger version of himself answered abruptly. "What's is it my egg or something?" the younger Elias said. "You got it, or to be more exact it's a stasis pod for a clone of you, which will eventually become you or in this case us." The older Elias had a devious smile on his face, the young Elias was at this point utterly lost.

"What the hell are you talking about, it's a clone of me that's really me?" the younger one asked, "But didn't you just say that you're not me?" Elias was lost, if he ever got back to any place that resembled sanity he swore that he wasn't going to smoke anymore. "Don't you think it's time that you stopped ******** with his Ben and told him the truth?" It was the voice of the bar itself that spoke up this time. "Ben? You're name is Ben, then you can't be me, my name is Elias." Elias snapped as he stood up, "What the ******** is going on here?" Elias demanded of Ben.

Setting the egg shaped pod on the bar Ben raised his hands in an expression of mock surrender. "Okay so you got me, I'm not you in the any sense of the word, hell this isn't even Gaia or whatever world you were talking about earlier." Ben said, "I was just leading you on, the reason I brought you here was because I was curious as to how my legacy ended up." Ben said as he strolled, or better half wobbled over to one of the windows, windows that up until a moment ago Elias hadn't even noticed. "I want you to see something." Elias merely cocked an eyebrow, it was obvious that he was becoming tired of this bullshit and wanted some answers. Ben slumped his shoulders slightly at Elias inactivity and spoke "Just look out there and after that I promise to explain everything." Elias stood motionless for a moment, but soon moved, he was already loosing his mind, he might as well find out how far the rabbit hole goes.

Elias strode over to the window in two or three steps and when he saw didn't give him any more answers, in fact all it did was give him more questions. He was certain that this wasn't Gaia, it couldn't be there was a planet below them, but it was a desolate red rock, it didn't even look like it had ever held life. "Welcome to the orbit of Mars." Ben spoke after a moment of silence. "Mars.....you don't mean." "That isn't possible, that would mean I've travelled not only in time and space but through the wall"

Ben smiled, in that one sentence Elias had told him everything that he had wanted to hear. "Exactly, you were created in this world and made immaterial, and then brought back." Elias head was now spinning. "This proves that I can in fact do it, my theories and those of my ancestors aren't wrong, it's just taken far too long to prove it." Ben said as he started to pace back and forth. "Okay seriously, I want some answers, what theories how the flying ******** is this possible,"

"The egg that you see on the table is a containment unit for an artificially created organism, a test tube baby if you will, in this day and age genetic manipulation is fairly easy, humans have created entire species to help them work. It's how I created you about twenty or so years ago, the tech wasn't as refined as it is now, but the end results are the same. I sent out to create a creature that would thrive in a world of fantasy, and a shapeshifting snake man seemed like a great idea." Ben said, he was now raving, as man gone mad. "There was a theory back in the early part of the twentieth century that said that all creative thought was a portal to an alternate universe, it's how people convinced themselves that they were re-incarnated version of there favorite fictional characters." Ben said waving a dismissive hand as he continued to speak. "The whole re-incarnated cartoon bullshit, was just that, but you proved that the other part of that idea was right, in a matter of speaking." Ben said and stopped looking to Elias for the question that he was sure was about to come.

"What do you mean in matter of speaking?" Elias asked and Ben wasted no time answering his question. "Not all creative thought is some portal into an unknown universe where our laws of physics don't apply, in fact out of the almost 1 thousand samples that I sent out, you're the only one that I've been able to pull back, the rest were destroyed, since there was no universe for them to go to. So it's my guess that it's extremely rare but it does happen." Ben spoke, Ben looked at Elias with trumph in his eyes, he looked on the verge of speaking once more but before he could Elias felt his stomach start to wrench as though someone were pulling it from the inside out. "Sorry Ben, it looks like the window is closing" Elias didn't have to ask what was going on, now that he knew the truth, it was easy assumption to make.

Elias smiled as he was pulled back to his own fictional world, Elias didn't wave to the man that had created him, or even say a word he merely raised his hand and gave him the one finger salute. "******** you old man" Ben roared in laughter as the world was once again engulfed in pain and blinding white light........

((Yeah I know this story completely blew......I promise the next one will be better and I won't involve my RP character))
