I finally got to see Milk. I'm still shocked it never made it to local theaters. The line at the library was 80+ people long, hence the long wait. it was a deeply emotional experience i all the ways that i expected. what i hadn'tr realized was how heavily the coming plague would weigh on my. i got goose bumps all over watching cleve's calling tree when they were organizing a demonstration, wondering how many of those people were alive in '85. In '95. now. I found myself mourning over again all those lives and all that potential and a whole culture almost lost. All this on top of the obvious loss and all the what ifs still hovering around what might have happened without the assassin's bullet. It was so overwhelming i can't even come close to any kind of objective review.
