Darkness seems to
follow me like a
shadow where ever i roam
its there watching me from
behind even when surrounded
by those who's way is lit with
hope and promise the darkness
tightens its icy fingers around
my heart leading me into the
icy clutches of loneliness the
dark is cold and knowing that
the light of hope will never find
me makes me shiver and shake
which only feeds the icy hands
that holds my heart
