It's been about a year since my return to Gaia, after a nearly two year hiatus lasting between February 2007 to November 2008. I joined back in April 04' in an account that is about 4 months older than this one, and this account was a mule prior to my hiatus. In the two years that I was inactive, I only logged in a few times during that period. Last November I logged back in and went to the charity forum and started donating items and gold because I thought that if I'm not going to make use of my Gaia things, I might as well give them to people who would like them. After my hiatus, I notice I was using this account more, so I eventually made this my main account.
At the time I think I donated about 1 million in items and gold. However after spending a little bit of time on Gaia, I was having a lot of fun. I eventually decided I was going to stay on Gaia after I had so much fun on it. I originally quit because I felt that Gaia was no longer fun. I remember when I started selling some of the items in my inventory, I hit a million gold pretty quick. I remember thinking something like "Wow, I actually have a million gold in pure." Now that I have readjusted to Gaia, I realize a million gold isn't that much these days.
After returning to Gaia, I had to get used to a lot of new things. Prior to my hiatus there was no Cash shop, Gaia cash, or EI's. Another thing I noticed that didn't happen before my hiatus was I starting getting those crappy password phishing PM's. I've certainly enjoyed Gaia more this year than I did in previous years.
