Life is like a tunnel.
Sometimes you need to look ahead,
And keep your eyes on the future.
Sometimes you need to look back,
at where you have already been

But you always need to watch your step.
Don't linger in the past.
Or you will trip over what is happening right now.

You don't realize that the deeper into the tunnel you get,
Less is ahead of you,
And more is behind you.
The deeper you get into the tunnel your light follows
illuminating some of the past,
some of the future,
and the present.
Your past slowly becomes darker
So more is forgotten
Make sure you look back
While there are still things to look back at.

Look to the future
Don't forget the past
But don't linger in it either.
