/Pan out from hands fidgeting. Two girls sitting on the swings talking/
Girl 1 – So you’re going?
Girl 2 – Yeah. I think I can throw together a few bucks.
1 – Good.”
/There’s a rustling in the bushes/
1 – Did you hear that?
2 – No... what?
1 – I could’ve sworn... oh, never mind.
2 – You wanna go back?
1 – Yeah... Yeah let’s just go back. Maybe we could watch a movie?
/The girls start walking through the wooded path. Now the both of them start hearing noises. They hurry/
1 – Maybe a comedy...?
/A green bowl rolls out onto the path. The girls jump and then laugh. They get a closer look at the bowl/
2 – Does that... say something?
1 – “You’re next”... Wait. What?
/Shot of the empty swings, still swinging slightly. Screams ring out. Shot of the now empty path way/

/Jen and Elle sitting around in the kitchen, Jen picks up a newspaper/
Jen – This is all really weird. They say there are no prints. No sign of struggle. And the bodies are found way far away from the actual crime scene.
Elle – Oh yeah. The bodies are drained of blood and every one is missing the middle finger of the left hand.
Jen – Well I’m glad you find the humour in it.
Elle – What am I supposed to do? Hide in my room and never leave the house again? You can’t be afraid of everything you read in the paper.
Jen – Well so what... I’m cautious.
/A loud clatter comes from the cupboard across from the girls. They both look up. Jen goes and stands in front of the cupboard for a long moment. She opens the door and three bowl clatter to the ground/
Elle – I told Xavier to stack those better...
/Elle picks up two of the bowls but misses one that has slid under the table/
Jen – Hey. Let’s go to Timmies. I need my fix.
/The girls exit and the camera turns to the bowl under the table.
“BOWLS” is written in strawberry sauce/
//end scene//

/Jen and Elle sit on a playground sipping their drinks. There are no bowls in sight/
Elle – Do you think that math test will be hard?
Jen – Well I haven’t studied... so yes.
/Jen takes a drink and looks up. She lowers the cup/
Jen – Elle...
/Elle looks up and her face drops/
Elle – Tell me that’s some weird joke of yours...
/There are bowls perched everywhere/
Jen – Let’s go...
/Shot of the girls running up the hill, shot of the bowls falling. Zoom in on one bowl with strawberry sauce writing. “You’re next.”/
//end scene//

Elle – Okay... That was creepy.
Jen – I’m seriously confused now... Why were there bowls in a playground?
Elle – I really don’t know.
/Zoom in past the girls, A bowl is perched on the banister behind them looking especially menacing/
//end scene//

Elle – Let’s just go to bed. We’re freaking out over nothing.
/Jen and Elle settle in on the couch/
Jen – Goodnight.
Elle – Goodnight, Jen.
/The lights switch off and a crashing noise startles Jen and Elle. Jen turns the light on fast/
Elle – Okay, what the Hell was that?
//end scene//

/The girls sit in the kitchen drinking coffee/
Elle – This is stupid... I can’t sleep because of a stupid bowl breaking.
Jen – I... Something’s wrong. I don’t know what... but this isn’t normal.
Elle – I never thought I’d say this... I can’t wait for school. There aren’t any bowls at school...are there?
/Quick shot of the bowls in the cooking classroom, back to the kitchen. Jen looks up/
Jen – Bowls are everywhere... Schools. Restaurants. Gift shops. Anywhere, really... Even if you think you’re totally safe... There’s probably a lunch room. And someone probably has a bowl...
Elle – Bowls... Cups are just bowls in disguise.
//end scene//

/The girls come in the house after a day of school/
Jen – There. Nothing happened. For the six hours and one minute of school. Nothing happened.
/Elle stops in her tracks in the living room. A bowl sits on the floor. She leans forward and reads/
Elle – “Welcome home, Girls”... Oh my...
/Jen kicks the bowl and it skids over to the side/
Jen – It’s someone playing a stupid prank. Your brother.
/The bowl catches Jen’s attention/
Jen – Elle... What did it say before...?
Elle – It said “Welcome home”... Why?
Jen – “Ow... I don’t appreciate that, Jen.”
Elle – You still think it’s a joke?
Jen – Th-This isn’t possible. This is a dream. It can’t be real.
/Elle picks up the bowl in haste and runs to put it outside the door/
//end scene//

/A skateboard rolls by the camera. It rolls back a second later, this time with the infamous green bowl on it/
//end scene//

/The girls are sitting on the steps of an elementary school portable. They laugh and Jen pushes Elle jokingly/
Elle – It’s not my fault he fell in the jello!
Jen – Well you were standing right there you could’ve-
Elle – What’s wrong?
/Jen points. A skateboard with a bowl is sitting only metres away from them. Elle stands and leans over the bowl/
Elle – “You can’t run.”
Jen – What? How did...?
Elle – I don’t... Is this some kind of stupid joke, Jen? If it is... I... I!
Jen – Woah woah. It’s not me... I wouldn’t...
/Jen stands and looks into the bowl/
Jen – “Your time is up. No joke.”
/The girls exchange a glance and run. Shot of the bowl with writing. “Muahaha”/
//end scene//

/Different shots of bowls around the yard and on the steps of the house. Bowls nestled in snow banks and in the branches of trees. Among rocks and in the middle of the driveway/

/Jen and Elle pacing in the living room/
Jen – I can’t stand this.
Elle – What’s a bowl going to do? Nothing. Bowl’s can’t hurt you.
/A crashing sound is heard/
Jen – How do you stop a bowl from breaking...?
/Jen and Elle look up to the door/
Jen – What about those girls... The ones that went missing?
Elle – I really hope you’re not suggesting...
Jen – I am...
/The door slams up and a bowl is sitting in the entrance. Close-up on the inside of the bowl. “This is the end.” Pan outside the house. Screams sound off/
