In a not to remote location a small City barely stands. It used to be thriving back in the day when the gold sources nearby were plentiful but quite some time ago these reserves seemed to have dried out finally. The citizens after that slowly begun to move out to other cities and towns nearby as the place really had no real need after that. Few people still remain there providing as a rest point for many weary traveller and really that is what it has seemed to have turned into.

This run down city is rather dilapidated in the unused parts and there are many demolition sites where buildings that were left to rot have become much to unstable and therefore were taken down before they could cause major damage to the surrounds via collapsing. The place is rather green due to under care as well, much overgrowth happening in the abandoned parts of town. Some parts have changed a lot and others are left rather unexplored after collapses of buildings or for the fact the places were unstable now.

The most interesting thing however, whether your character managed to stumble along upon it or heard stories from few people who still stayed there or were a victim yourself (And of course many other explanations), was an odd staircase discovered that lead down to an underground area. After it was found many problems begun to arise in the minute city; Sightings of monsters and other scary creatures and even reports of attacks and the rare killing. Though mostly it happened that people came across the mauled corpses of the surrounding forest's animals

No one however dared to explore down the staircase and opted for trying to seal it up with wood and rocks which unfortunately were unable to keep the creature inside at bay as they managed to bash all the objects away and clear the enterance again. The townsfolk do try to hire people but to no success so far- They are still hiring however.

Though what is actually down this staircase is an extensively large underground labyrinth of tunnels underneath the city. These are for a very large underground lab which seems to be abandoned except for the fact many monsterish creature wander around it. The assumption may be that there are no humans, or (Civilised) humanoids for that matter, down there in the laboratory any more so the unattended creatures have run rampant. There are still various experiments left around creature and chemical wise and even ranging into the mechanical and in computers- Though don't bother checking the computers. Most look rather damaged and they few that are alright are all thoroughly deleted of data.

When you reach the laboratory, that or begin in it, I will describe the room you enter and so forth. I control monsters and describe them and such. Basic description of what I'm doing you see.
