Sherri prompted a Christmas tree, as small as a goblin and as pink as cotton candy, in the middle of the living area. Pink wasn't a suitable colour, but it was the only colour she could make it besides the traditional green. Green were her walls and the carpet, or were those colours.

Ever since her dad and her had cleaned up the house, his house, Grimmauld Place, it had been placed with a different colour than those of darkness and the family that once had been in Slytherin. Now, the walls were red, with the dark portraits on them, as the Permenant Sticking Charm was placed on them by Walburga, her dreadful grandmother.

Now, it was Christmas Eve. Her dad had been cooped up in the drawing room with Remus Lupin, a childhood friend of his, talking the night away. Sherri still hadn't spoke to Remus since he arrived and she wasn't sure if he knew she existed. She had been decorating one of the oldest rooms that held the tapestries and cleaned up the kitchen. Sirius, her father, had tried calling her in as it was almost Christmas, but she refused.

She had been constantly thinking of the place when Sirius was younger and why he hated it so. His mother was terrible to him, she noticed, and from what Kreacher, their house-elf, was mumbling, she could tell it was a dismal place to live.

But, somehow, it was more like a haven to her. It was a place to call home. It was a breath of fresh air away from the school work, society, the Prophet, Death Eaters, teachers (most of all Snape and Keran), and enemies. Sherri couldn't see how this could be the worst place to spend months at. Her outlook on the place was fascinating, otherwise to her father's outlook.

Sherri walked into the drawing room, only to hear the last of Remus and Sirius's conversation stop dead. Both eyes managed to snap towards her as she walked in, only to follow with a small grin upon Sirius's face.

"Take a seat, Sherri," he called, pulling over a seat next to him. Sherri obliged.

"Sherri?" Remus asked with a small grin and utter bewilderment. "It's been awhile, hasn't it?"

"The age of 3, I think?" Sirius answered almost instantly.

Sherri blinked. "Er, sure?" It was the tone of awkwardness in the conversation that made her want to leave. She had been meeting people that have known about her for years and she barely knew herself for that many. Most of all, they all knew her mother, best friends even, and they dare speak of her name constantly asking her a lot of questions about whether she knew her or remembered.

She didn't mind, though it did get rather annoying.

"Well, pleasure to meet you again, Sherri. I must be going, however. I don't want to be buried in the snow by the time I have to Apparate," Remus concluded as he stood up. "Nice seeing you, Padfoot."

Sirius stood. "You, too, Moony. Next Saturday, then?"

"Yeah, of course."

"Saturday, for what?" Sherri asked, beaming at both of them.

They exchanged glanced and faced her again. "Nothing. Order business," Sirius said, speaking up first. "Til then."

Sherri stood as Remus left, putting the chairs back where they belonged.

Sirius looked at Sherri after closing the door after Remus. He opened his arms and pulled her into a hug. "Happy Christmas, Sherri."

"Happy Christmas. I'm glad we made it through another Christmas."

Sirius pulled away. "Yeah, it's a miracle, really. Now, let's see what you did with this tapestry."
