Background:
Let's take this before Hannah was even born...Leonard, Hannah's father, served in the US Marines. When he was stationed in South Korea, he fell in love with a young Korean waitress who worked at a small cafe. The two of them hit it off pretty fast so the two of them settled down in Toronto, Texas to live out the rest of their years enjoying a modest life. Soon, Hannah came into the world, they seemed like a happy family but it seemed that Pyong didn't want to be a mother anymore and left the former family behind. Leonard became a bitter man as he was married to a hateful woman named Tanya. When Leonard wasn't around, Tanya would constantly yell and hit Hannah for anything she did that did not satisfy her. After twelve years of physical and emotional abuse, Hannah couldn't take it anymore and decided to move in with a close friend. Leonard wound up divorcing Tanya since she was stealing money from his bank account for ten years. Even though Tanya was no longer around, Hannah refused to move back in with her father since she no longer wanted to be a burden on him. When Hannah turned 18, she moved out of Elizabeth's house//The friend she was staying with// and rented out an cheap apartment and works two part-time jobs. It wasn't exactly the life that Hannah had wanted to live but she's content with her father being a happy old coot with a brand new Harley Davidson. She still visits him every now and again to make sure he doesn't get too lonely but it's all good since he's dabbling in speed dating.
