So, this is it. The year slowly says its good-byes in a cloud of noise, light, and smoke. It's cold outside, but not cold enough. It's raining instead of snowing. It's good to know it's over but I still don't want it to go... Today should have been an important day, yet all this used to mean to me is just slowly fading from my grasp.

I didn't want it to end like that. I suffered, but I still held on to what we used to have long ago. I wished for better times, for my love to be returned. I gave up everything for this just to be thrown away because it wasn't enough.

Today should have marked the victory over our long-distance relationship, yet it's mocking me with how far we grew apart. This was what I had been looking forward to ever since we got together, just to regret ever meeting you tonight. It was a promise broken before it could ever be kept, a vision swept away by troubles before it could come true.

And I know that tonight, you're thinking of me too...
