Here’s a Hetalia question meme that I got last January 2009 and only got to finish 3 months ago. I’m posting it now after some inner conflicts of whether to put it up or not.

“This is actually pretty neat.” I wasn’t really a history buff so I was simply amused by the concept of humanizing nations - NATIONS.

It’s not very accurate, but it helped me learn some stuff.

I’ve never really had an actual world history class [ only studied Philippine and Canadian history and the Renaissance and Japanese history and all that jazz ], but sure.

23. What do you think the Axis (Honda, Ludwig, Feliciano) is like as a group?
I also think Kiku is kind of the oddball in the group, not only because Ludwig and Feliciano are both Europeans but also because they have both known each other for a considerably good amount of time while Kiku is pretty much a stranger. As much as I’d love to believe that all three of them are real buddy-buddy [ I love the Axis group, for srs ], I can’t help but think that Kiku doesn’t feel that comfortable around the other two.
24. The Axis lost the war, but do you think they have any qualities that you'd go 'well, if it's THIS, then they pwn the Allies'?
Going with what everyone and their dog said here: sheer tolerance of Italy.
25. What do you think the Allies (Alfred, Arthur, Francis, China, Ivan) is like as a group?
THEY ALL HATE EACH OTHER’S GUTS and yet they decided to join forces and kick some a**. And succeeded. But I love them and how dorky they were portrayed in the series.
26. The Allies won the war, but do you think they have any qualities that you'd go 'well, they aren't just good at warfare but pwn THIS, too!'?

27. What do you think about the Baltic States (Eduard, Raivis, Toris) and Feliks?
Raivis is so adorably shaky [ and lol shota ], but I’d really love to see more of his yandere side [ ya know, the deal with the flowers and everything ]. Toris is okay, and Eduard is indeed a hunk but I’m not too fond of him. I don’t have much of an opinion on Feliks either besides that he’s cute and hilariously androgynous, like totally.
28. What do you think about the Habsburg Group (Roderich, Elizabeth-neesan, Boss Antonio and Flunky Lovino)?
Elizaveta is a legend. She is amazing. She is every fujoshi’s BFF. She is my personal heroine. She’s the manriest in the whole comic. She can top the s**t out of the whole world world.
I love her, for srs. I love her and Roderich as a couple, especially. Roderich is pretty awesome too.
I like Antonio. Very much. His voice is heavenly and I can listen to it forever. He’s a not-so-secret ****** too which makes me adore him more (what). Keep up the excellent work of knee-hitting and hot damn I want to see more of his badass side for srs.
And oh, Lovino. Something about his tsundere-ness, endless profanities and perpetual anger makes me love him so, so much.
29. Canon hasn't mentioned it yet, but about the Holy Roman Empire...
If he turns out to be Germany, I’ll be very shocked.

53. What's the most squee-able thing about these two?
They blend each other. Romano is constantly grumpy and impulsive while Spain is pretty much all smiles, is understanding and has iron patience. They know each other’s qualities, inside and out. Antonio can handle Lovino and his perpetual grouchiness easily thanks to more than a hundred years of living under the same roof, even though their life together wasn’t all roses.
54. Do you mind if your OTP switches *ahem* vertical positioning?
Not one bit. I’ve always seen this as a reversible pairing anyway; plus Romano topping is always hot and a bottom!Spain is ******** sexy.
55. How do you think their romance would begin?
Romano began to realize what he truly feels about Spain as he grew up – that those fleeting touches meant more to him and how he eventually longs for more than simple childish affections from Antonio; ya know, teenage hormones kicking in and all that jazz. Spain though, being the dense fellow he is, mistakes his feelings for being parental and catches on a little later when Romano leaves his house for good and he starts missing him like hell jaskljd.

Far enough that they screw each other, maybe?

It may have been one-sided in the past but yes, definitely two-sided.

I'm pretty sure Romano would do most of the talking and all of the hitting and Spain would be constantly trying to calm him down

Well, isn’t that unusual. Haha, maybe Spain screwed up again or it’s probably another one of Romano’s constant mood swings.

I’d love to believe that Spain shed many tears when Romano left his house.

Aww, he’d be fine. I don’t think he’ll need to watch his back since Spain doesn’t look like the type to pursue the matter further; Romano would probably be annoyed as ******** and give him a bunch of death threats but in the end is too chicken to actually do anything. BUT DON’T MESS WITH MAFIA!ROMANO

Romano, most likely. Though I can also see Spain getting jealous whenever Romano hits on the ladies. He can’t help it Antonio, he’s Italian.

Romano, because Spain is KY

Romano would make attempts and fail, while giving off as much hints as he can afterwards and ending up being frustrated as hell. Spain realizes this and does the confessing himself.

Obviously Spain; Romano’s one stubborn tomato

Romano, DUH.

Spain. He ain’t the country of passion for nothing, yo. Romano’s too tsundere to display the true levels of his affection anyway.

Again, SPAIN. Seriously.

Romano. Everyone knows that he suffered an inferiority complex because of Italy, so there’s his way of thinking of himself as being worthless and that nobody would want him because he’s the less valuable half; so he clings to Spain’s love as much as possible because he needs Antonio to hold him together and to give him a sense of self-worth.

Spain, obviously

Spain. It’s not easy to live with someone loud and messy and complains a lot and delivers bruises as a hobby, haha.

Romano, I’m guessing. They’ve lived under the same roof for more than 300 years so why not? Plus I don’t see Spain getting up from his bed any earlier than lunchtime, so Romano always has to be there to wake him up.

I guess Spain’s the lazier b*****d…
95. Disregarding their position as countries, who's the stronger person?
I think that they’re both around equal in physical strength, whereas Romano is mentally weaker.

96. What is the biggest change in you ever since meeting 'Kitayume' or 'Hetalia'?
I’m actually enjoying history now, and I’ve learned quite a lot of stuff about the world lol. Not to mention the fangirl inside me hasn’t been this active. [ I haven’t drawn this much smut for a fandom in my entire life for srs ]

Yes. I really am. Being in this fandom taught me a lot of things - much more besides history, I can tell as much. le nudge nudge
