Depending on the platform Gorn comes up with, the controlls will likely be changed.
All cutscenes will be skippable.
Combat will be real time. There will be a battle mode that changes your main controller buttons to attack buttons. These attack buttons will have different effects depending on your weapon. Entering certain button combinations will trigger weapon skills. Holding a shoulder button will charge your attacks with magic. One or more shoulders buttons will be used for magic. Lock-on target will be available but you will only hit one target. When out of lock-on you can hit multiple enemies.
You will gain a weapon mastery point for every 1hp of damage caused with that weapon. Every class will have a weapon proficieny that allows it to gain mastery points faster. Magic mastery points will be gained based on either casting or ammount of mp used. As you gain magic and weapon mastery more skills will be unlocked.
Magic will regen.
Every character will have a unique main class that is proficient with certain weapons and magics.
Different races will have different secondary classes to choose from. These classes will have different skills and magics that can be learned.
Example: If Shiny is primarily a time mage, he will be proficient in time magic and staves and will be able to learn the primary skills of a time mage. He can then choose and change his secondary class to any secondary class available to his race, like soldier and archer. Should he choose archer, he will be able to learn archery skills and magics.

Elements can be applied to weapons by upgrading them. The secondary elements have to be upgraded twice to obtain.
Equiping an enchanted weapon allows you to cast spells based on the weapon type. For example: Swords will do elemental damage, cause status effects, and do something else that I don't know yet. Staves will have a direct spell cast, an area cast, and a self-targeting cast.
Weapons can have item slots in which certain items can be palce. These items will have bonuses like magic boosting, attack boosting, and elements. You have to apply a fire and a water element to a weapon to make it into the secondary element steam.
Low level weapons will have fewer item slots than higher level weapons.
These items can be removed from weapons.
Elemental items will be rare.
Items may be able to be created by obtaining certain materials and crafting them.
