Poem

I never want a day to go by when I forget about you and no I never try.
I never want someone else to go through what I'm going through.
I really never thought this would happen to you, to someone else.
I feel as if everyone cared about you and yes they did care.
I hope they don't stop caring and I know I never will because I love you.
Everybody loved you and they still love you.
I hold you close but I hope you know I will no I can't ever let you go.
You were the only I ever felt safe around.
Please, don't leave without saying good-bye but thats what I got.
Please, don't think this was your fault it was never your fault.
I hate the fact that this happened and how it happened.
I wish I were there to stop him.
Now I'm all torn up and broken because of the unspeakable conclusion.
Not a lot of people know what I'm going through and I know a lot don't care.
I'm sorry I was never there even though I know you want to say don't be.
And on the anniversary of your death I put a candle in my window so you can come home but I know you never will.
