And these, I do not appreciate.
Not only have some of these been posted on my artwork
But many other ones as well

I am verily sick and tired of this nonsense that I have noticed just recently and most of it is located right here on this website. I would understand if these were kind gestures or critiques, but no. These are blunt and rude. I have seen some very amazing work here on Gaia that I myself would not even be able to do. I am terrible with realism, even anime and any form of people other than chibi-ish.
Everyone has their own, unique form of art. Even I have my own style that I draw in. Artwork is not meant to be perfect. No one can achieve any amount of perfection with art because it is an abstract hobby as well as talent. No one's characters are going to be perfectly polished in anyone's eyes. There are always mistakes, yes, but everyone, I hope, learns from their mistakes over time.
I know that the more I draw, the better I become, but I also know that my work will never be perfect. Many artists know that as well as I do. Pieces or work can be wonderful, beautiful, terrifying, striking, and many other things, but we all know that it cannot be labeled under "perfection".
Those who do believe that artwork needs to be and can be perfected are usually not artists themselves. They don't realize how hard we strive to make our imaginations come to life, whether it be by painting, drawing, photographing, animating or writing. These are the people who leave rude comments or make crude remarks towards the artist themselves and it's just plain sickening. Kind critiques are always welcome, but telling the person that they need to do this or do that...NO.
Just ask what they're planning on doing next, ask them how they're going to do something. Ask if they are finished with it, and always, ALWAYS read the person's description first. That is a must. No one likes answering questions twice. So please, if you are not an artist or if you are a fellow artist, kind critiques, not crude.
