This could only mean one thing...
They were evil. Maybe Lilith was evil too. There was no other explanation. My questions had to be answered.
"Lilith! Why did you leave us? You know we were very worried!" I inquired.
"Uh....It was an emergency," she replied.
"Emergency for what! Meeting up with a boy and moving in with them?!" I crossed my arms.
"Taylor, I need to speak to you....Alone," Lilith finally said. "Follow me."
I wondered if I should follow her. She was moving really slow, as if she could move much faster but didn't want to show it or something. I followed her out to a little bedroom. This was weird...
"Listen, Taylor..."
"What?!"
"I can't go back home. It's dangerous. Just trust me. You don't want me to go home. Especially with well, you..."
What was that supposed to mean?! She doesn't like me? And why is it "dangerous" to go home?! It's only about 7 minutes to walk there from here! Nothing could happen to us in 7 minutes! There was no answer for any of my questions.
"What am I supposed to do?" I choked out. "I left a note to Mother and Father telling them I'd come back with you! And that I'd be back in a week!"
"Well....You could stay here! I supposed that would be okay with Rob and Rina.
"Fine. I'll stay here. But you better tell me the truth," I said. I wondered if she actually would.
