Walking to the auditions the next day was a mistake, I know that now. I went there and was given a number. About 15 minutes of sitting in a chair, I hear "Number 12, please come up front, number 12." Smiling now, I walked up to the front desk where a girl, just a few years older older than I, led me to a small room. There was a small table, a microphone, and 2 woman in what looked like thier late 20s, and a man. An old man who didn't seem very happy. The old man said, "What is your name, little girl?" "U-um! Niji, sir." I said quickly. I was quite nervous. "What do I do...?". "Well, you can start by singing", one of the women said. Her hair was long, wavy and brown. She was smiling, and had creases on her face as if she was smiling all day. "Um, I have this s-song, ma'am. I wrote it myself..." "No." The other said, "We have a song. Sing this, the tune doesn't matter." "U-um, okay..." She handed my a piece of paper. I looked over the lyrics. Cheesy, but who cares. "Um...I wish I could leave my feelings behind me...however, I cannot...It's understandable why you wouldn't like me..." I sang that STUPID song. The looks on the judges faces...we're heart-breaking. There was an odd silence...The old man smiled. Not a fake smile, but a real one. I thought I knew what was coming next.
