My most well known poem. Most people say its the best. but... idk bout that.
I am yours, Forever & always. Even if you have to move, Oh, so far away. I will always be here, For when, You need me someday.
You may ask me why, I would, "Waste my time" All on you, And I shall tell you this:
"But who would not? Mad men! I tell you, mad men!! Those who cannot see, Your magnificent beauty. Those who do not care to know, What you dare not show. Those who wish to abolish, Your every want and wish. But don't you see, My biggest reason. It's mostly that, They don't even dare try, To love you, Like I do. For you see, I am not mad, Like they may be.
And you are all, That I can see."
You will listen to my words, But not quite get them, The first time.
Then you look up at me, And say quietly,
"If this is to be true, Then what will come of you. Cause can't you see, That I must leave, So you and me can't be we."
You will look back down, And begin to walk away. Oh, but I will stop you. Pull you close, And lift your chin,
"Oh, but my love, Can't you see, No distance from below or above, Can ever separate you and me.
For you are, My love, My mind, My heart & soul For you and me, Were simply meant to be. So they can call us insane, Lock us up, For all I care. But as we sit, Chest to Chest, Lips to lips, In the pshyc ward, I will yell back at them, And say with all my dazed might,
'By the Goddess I swear to you, I am not mad! Not mad at all. It's called love, You should really discover it, My friend.'
Then they would run to us, With their big needles, And as the medicine kicked in, I would whisper slowly in your ear,
'My love, I swear to you, I am not mad! For I am yours, And you are mine. Forever & always.'
Thus it would fade black, And end with us, Arm in arm.
That My Love Is what is to come of me."
You would pull me down, And kiss me, In the moons light. I shall say, Forever & always.
"I am not of those mad men! I am not mad at all!"
