Pitfall
Life is always so distant, Distant once the controller is placed in one’s hands. Reality practically seems to evaporate, Evaporate as all attention is placed on the screen.
It is a case of curiosity, Curious as to why such focus ensues. Focus isn’t placed on reality, Rather only on bright screen of a barrier.
At times, some seem to melt, Melt into the game they love so. So obsessed, some feelings unfelt, Feelings meant to be expressed to one’s friends.
I have become one with the game, The game so much better than life’s little worries. In a sense, the game is the same, The same in the fate of the heroine.
Dashing devils obstruct my path, My path that’s traveled with little reprieve. Whirling winds so filled with wrath, Wrath that plagues whomever it sees.
No, I’m not addicted, Addicted in the sense that I cannot quit. I’m simply trapped in a game I can’t exit, The lock is latched oh so tight.
I ask of you now, A favor for me. Would you please go on out, And find me the key?
