[One Shot] Memory lane 1/2
Part 1/2
[One-shot] Memory lane.

I smiled as I walked the aisle. Trish and Sammy couldn't help but smile; they knew this day would come. As for I, I didn't quite expect that this would've happened. Let me tell you a story; it started when I was only ten.

"Go away!" I shouted at my brother as he just invaded my room with his stupid friend. "What do you want?!" I shot a glare at them as they were going through my things, obviously, without my permission.
"Nothing." Ken, my brother, smirked. Obviously he's only doing this to annoy me...Or maybe just trying to get something from me. I rolled my eyes and sighed, trying to think of a way without embarrassing me or him infront of his friend or starting any violence, that is.
"Then get out. Go do some guy things for what ever." I got up from my bed and escorted them out.

I didn't think that I would've been friends with someone who was a jerk face to me. A jerk face meaning Ken's friends.

I silently sobbed to myself. It was very rare for me to cry over something like this;; but it just feels like I'd been stacking my tears for so long that I just couldn't hold it in any longer. Some gravel shuffled and he sat down on the swing next to me.
"What to you want?" Quickly, I wiped the tears out of my eyes and looked away from him hoping that i didn't look like a fool crying over a piece of cake.
"My name's Ray." He smiled as he spoke. His voice had a very sweet tone to it. Right away, it just felt like I could trust him with all my deepest darkest secrets.

Now that I think about it...I really understood why he was so friendly towards me; unlike Ken and his other friends. He always knew how to cheer me up...although he wasn't very good at it...

Ray stood there dumbfounded. "Why am i here?" He frowned as he payed for the pizza. I shot a glare at him and he quickly shut his mouth. A few months earlier, when Ken and him went into my room; not only did he steal my candy but he actually TOOK some money out of my wallet. I couldn't believe I didn't realize that until yesterday when Ken told me. That's the last time I'm leaving my wallet lying around.

I couldn't help but have my heart smile; not only because this is the most exciting thing in my life but because of all these memories flooding my mind, head and brain. There's one more thing I had forgotten to mention. Although it was bad for my health; weather it was cold or hot, he always bought me ice cream. How sweet of him.

About eleven more years had passed.

(This is the past btw)

"Damn..." I heard someone slightly curse. I didn't bother to look back but from the voice I already knew it was Ray. As he walked out from behind the tree, I turned around and greeted him. He had a confused face as if I knew that he was going to walk up to me; which I did. He greeted me back and gave me a sheepish smile.
"Aren't you surprised that Trish is getting married so soon?" I turned back around and looked up at the sky. Some branches were in my way of the sky's view. "She's only 21...and yet she's getting married to a worthy man..." I smiled as I remembered how they met. For some reason, I just felt so honored...I think it's because I introduce Trish to Joe. Yes, Joe is the worthy man who is getting married to one of my best friends; Trish.
"She's getting married?!" Ray sounded surprised; but it ended up to be me giving him a surprised look. Although his eyes were widened, I had a puzzled look.
"She didn't tell you?" My jaw almost dropped. "Er...I didn't tell you?" Normally I would be the one spreading all the gossip and stuff like that...Because I'm apparently the 'match maker', or so they all say. Now that I think about it...Maybe...I could start my own match making...store thingy? Naw. I don't believe in those things. It's not like I'd successful anyways.
"N-no...?" He shook his head and looked away. Weird...I normally tell everyone everything though... "Wait no..." He looked up as if he were thinking, which I'm guessing he is. "Yes you have actually...Her wedding is today, is it not?" He looked back at me. I smiled and nodded. He nodded also. "Okay then...I'll..See you later." He walked away before I was able to say something to make him stay. I frowned because I don't think I told him what time the ceremony was...But I guess I could tell him during the wedding...or after, because talking during a wedding is rude.
Sighing as I stepped onto the bus that I had been waiting for, I looked onto my watch. The second hand made a silent ticking noise on the quiet bus. I payed my fare and took a seat. So much things were on my mind...Well mostly, I've got the wedding stuck in my head. They really told me last minute, but atleast I was the first, other then them and their family, to know.

"I'm so excited!" Trish squealed. It was hard doing her hair while she kept moving. Frowning as it was the 5th time that i messed up, I grabbed the brush and loosened the up-do. "Hurry up!" She was more then just 'excited'.
"Then stop moving around!" I shouted as I placed the pin in my mouth making me mumble my words. I feel like I'm trying to tie a pony tail on a five year old who has A.D.H.D. "We have like, an hour left anyways."
"What?!" She wanted to turn around, but she knew it was going to mess up her hair again. Hearing her sigh, she stayed still.

I finished up on her hair and then quickly grabbed the tiara and placed it on her head. She quickly scanned my from my checkered converse to my beanie. "Hey!" She shouted, which startled me a bit as I grabbed the bride veil. Trish got up and walked up to me, as if she was trying to corner me. "Why aren't you wearing your bride's maid dress?" She frowned at me. Suddenly, it hit me. I looked at my self from top to bottom and frowned. I looked at her and attempted to give puppy dog eyes. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. It was no excuses not to wear a bridesmaid dress when you're a bridesmaid. Even if it means you absolutely hate wearing dresses. Not to mention, she IS my best friend. I sighed as I walked into the change room.

Once again, I looked at myself in the mirror. On the bright side atleast the dress went over my knees. I also like the silky feeling of the fabric...Sometimes I wonder how people can afford these things...
"There you go." Trish smiled as she walked up behind me. "Hey, guess what I hear--"
"NIKKI, NIKKI, NIKKI!" Sammy accidentally rushed through the doors and interrupted Trish. "Oh gosh, there you are." Sammy huffed her breath and quickly fixed her hair. "You're late!" I gave her a blank stare. "The wedding is starting in a minute!" I looked onto my watch and showed her what time I thought it was. She gave a bland look at me. "Your watch died. Now, quickly fix your hair." She grabbed a brush and helped me brushed my hair even though it wasn't that messy. I looked at Trish who partly glared at me. Well, atleast she's ready right? "Now, let's go!" She grabbed my hand before I was able to do anything else; like say sorry to Trish that my watch had ran out of batteries.
