I am wrapping up the 7th day of my employment at Gaia Interactive. The environment is very different from my past job at Yahoo!. It is dynamic, live, and full of energy and exciting spirit. I have met so many people during my first week that my brain feels congested trying to memorize all the names and respective faces. I have read lots of documentation and code and experimented with a few and I have got the idea for my very fist project, but .... I cannot tell you.

I also went out with Derek Liu, one of the founders, and few other employees and he talked about Gaia's early days.

Anyways, my cube is near the window so I get some daylight however I felt like I need more light and my cube frankly looked really naked. Looking at other people's cube, each is spirited in its own way. Some with fancy decorations top to bottom and some decorated with real paintings and hand developed photography. This Sunday evening I decided to go and bye a lamp and go decorate my cube. I bought a big Dale Tiffany desk lamp. This was something I always wanted but my apartment setting is different to accommodate that kinds of lamp design, so I decided to get it for my work place. The lamp is perfectly places on my desk, I unwrapped my boxes and sorted out my beer bottle collection as well. Now I have my own relaxing cool cubicle to rock in.

Let's go Gaia. The beast has yet to be unleashed.
