Tresures
Oh Ho Ho Ho.
another one of my 'kso'
kso, im mad again.
well, more like frustrated and pissed, kind of.
my stupid dang english teacher is demanding the class to do a huge project within 3 days and present it.
so, here's what we have to do.
i'll just type it all out and explain how complicated it is.
part a:research
start with your own beginnings; where is your family from ? how long have you/they loved in canada ? why did your parents/grandparents leave their home country ? what challenges did they face on their journey ? what did they leave behind ? how are they still connected to their homeland ? what kinds of connections have they established with their new homeland ?
written work:
1. the interview questions
2. rough notes on responses and other research (internet, travel magazines, family photos, etc.)
3. audio or video tape of interview. <--- i hate this part.
like, i friggin don't want to record it, okay ?
******** piss off.
like wtf ? i have a life outside of school you know.
part b:presentation
present the above information in a visually creative way. you may wish to include photos, artwork, drawings for your presentation. collect old photos and or keepsakes that represent your family's cultural journey. explore your family tree and share your family history.
evaluation: clarity of story
use and organization of visuals
development of topic
speaking/presenting skills
okay so, this visual thing is supposed to take me like, two whole days,
but like i said, i have a life
and i have a concert tomorrow which ends at like, 9.
so like, i have band practice till 3. then at 4 i have a lesson till 6.
then by 6:30 i have to be at school for the concert.
like ********, dont you think ?
part c:writing
family narrative: tell your story in a creative, narrative form. be as accurate as possible and also explore diction and language devices to help bring your story to life. stories must be 200-300 words maximum, double-spaced and typed.
journal: explore your own cultural connections. how has your cultural background touched your life ? in what ways are connected or disconnected to your family's culture ? length should be one page.
like, what the hell is this ?
i dont even know what i have to do for this piece of shitty part.
