User Image

Height: 5' 7"

Weight: 140 lbs.

Hair: Platinum blond cropped into a stylish, shoulder length cut with fringes framing the side of her face and unevenly cut bangs covering her forehead. The strands of her hair can be classified as silky and straight due to the diligent care that she applies toward it. Sometimes, simple pins and clips adorn it or, when the occasion calls for it, decorative kanzashis are also attached. Her hitai-ate very rarely graces her hair as it is worn on a different part of her body.

Eyes: With eyebrows that are perfectly arched and descending in a gradual slope towards the bridge of the nose, she is often given an expression that conveys an austere demeanor or at the least, a certain aloofness. Her sky-blue eyes possess a lucid quality that is often compared to sunlight hitting a crystal. This effect is further emphasized by her seeming lack of an iris, often allowing her to startle people with a sharp glare or a pointed glance.

Physical Description: Just like the flowers that she cultivates in the Yamanaka gardens, Yukino is just as delicate-looking and as beautiful as the blossoms in the earliest of spring. Her pale skin is complemented with lightly-colored blond hair and startling blue eyes, which are seemingly the trademark features for most Yamanakas. Her porcelain face has often been alluded to as "striking" even "beautiful" with its softly-sculpted cheekbones and full, pouty lips.

Being blessed with ample curves, the Yamanaka's body-build can be classified as voluptuous although years of training had also added a certain "dangerous" quality to it. Her long limbs are very well-defined with its subtle muscle-mass and well-formed bone structure. She has two piercings on both her ears to which she attaches small, silver hoops. And, also, despite being an active kunoichi, she has no visible scars on her body.

Clothing: Most of the time, especially when she is not on a mission, Yukino is seen wearing modified kimonos either with its sleeves cut-off or cropped and the skirt shortened into mid-thigh level. Underneath is a simple black sleeveless shirt and black shorts. Her footwear consists of dark sandals that end just below her knee. A variation of her outfit would be a white-gray outer padded vest and an inner mesh shirt. This is coupled with black shinobi pants and ankle-length sandals. She also wears black, finger-less gloves and her hitai-ate is tied around her waist.

Background:
Birth & Pre-Academy days
Her father had always wanted a boy. It was a well-known fact among the Yamanaka clan that their current clan head, Inosuke Yamanaka, desired for a son to carry his legacy and to bear the proud Yamanaka name. Fate had other plans though. Just as the dying blossoms in the Yamanaka gardens suddenly revived itself into utmost beauty despite the biting chill of winter, a shrill, angry cry reverberated in the Yamanaka's medical room. A fair baby girl was born with eyes as blue as glaciers and a demeanor that would probably warm the harshest of coldest nights. They named her Yukino, in honor of the snow that blanketed Konoha and covered the harshness of the winter war.

She was growing up to be beautiful. Inosuke dreaded the day when his precious daughter would reach the age of puberty, but for now, he savored every day that he got to spend with Yuki-chan, as she was fondly called by everybody. Her wide eyes, the color of a bright summer sky, and nearly white hair made everybody coo and adore the little Yamanaka heiress. Her mother, a skilled medic-nin and herbologist, had began to introduce her daughter to the wonders of flora and its properties at the age of two. Both of them could always be found in the gardens, the greenhouse, or in Konoha's flower fields.

"Mama..." giggled a young girl wearing a bright, yellow sun-dress as she ran in the field of white daisies. Her mother smiled quietly and followed her eager daughter's rampage, watching with loving eyes as the little girl delicately picked a flower and held it up to her face.

"Mama, what is this flower called?" Yuki inquired curiously, tilting her head to the side as she gave the flower to her mother and looked on eagerly with an intense gaze.

"Yuki-chan, this flower is called the daisy, a flower that represents purity and innocence. Daisy is appropriate in capturing purity of the mind, heart and soul. Thus, daisy is the ultimate symbol of inner sanctity. " her mother explained, " Neh...I hope that you'll bloom as beautifully as the daisy someday, Yuki-chan..."

At the age of three, the little girl was introduced to two of her father's best friends and their sons, the Nara and Akimichi clans. The two boys were too shy for their own good and Yuki often bossed them around the playground where they played NINJA. It was then agreed that all three should go into the academy together.

Academy Days
She was the youngest one to enter the academy that year, but that didn't mean that she lagged behind. Sure, she didn't take it as seriously as the older kids and often slacked-off school to play near the river with kids her age, but she was smart. Yuki was blessed with a very intelligent Yamanaka mind and a near photographic memory, so she was able to pick up on lessons very easily. Her mother and father also freely tutored her on subjects she skipped out on, allowing her to achieve very high grades on the academy. Even so, her lack of drive to be the best only placed her in the top ten of the student's roster. All that was about to change the moment she collided with an arrogant Uchiha, Kiyoshi.

"Yuki-chan, what do you think about this bento I made? Does it look good enough?" gushed an older girl with light brown hair and a cheerful smile as she opened a packed lunch and showed it to the younger girl.

"Mm...It looks really yummy, Kaoru-chan! Who's it for?" asked the Yamanaka as she peered at it, along with some of the other girls in the academy. She also noticed that Kaoru began to to blush furiously at this point.

"A-ano, it's for Kiyoshi-kun...I hope he likes this." the older girl stammered as she re-wrapped the box and hid it behind her back. One of the other girls had squealed excitedly as they spotted the Uchiha coming out from the academy.

"Do your best Kaoru-chan!" Yuki encouraged as she gave the girl a thumbs-up and gently pushed her towards the Uchiha's direction. Needless to say, the subtle proclamation of affection didn't turn out too well. The arrogant Uchiha not only cruelly dismissed Kaoru, but he also mindlessly pushed her away from his, causing the beautiful lunch-box to spill and Kaoru to burst into tears.

After that incident, Yuki began to notice the Uchiha and the way he treated others. Before that, she was oblivious and didn't even know who he was, but he slowly began to irritate her and eventually, she hated him. He insulted everybody and acted as if he was some god as he topped all of the academy's activities. In her anger, she confronted him and demanded a fist-fight, totally ignoring the fact that he was a head taller than her and much more advanced in the academy taijutsu forms.

"Uchiha! Show your stupid face so that I can beat it to a bloody pulp." shrieked a murderous Yamanaka. She was rampaging through the Academy grounds as her Nara and Akimichi counter-parts nervously followed, trying to calm her down. "No way! He made Reika-chan cry when he called her stupid and even punched Akito-kun when he tried to stop him. Who do you think is going to stand up to him, huh huh huh?!" she screamed louder as she stomped away.

When she spotted Kiyoshi, she marched up to him, hands on her waist and began to jab at him with a finger, all the while yelling about how mean and cruel he was to others. Kiyoshi merely slapped her hands away and airily said, " I don't talk to nobodys." He then walked away, leaving a fuming Yamanaka stewing in her own anger.

That night, her father found her collapsed on the Yamanaka's training grounds as various kunai and shuriken littered the the ground and trees. The battered training posts were also smeared with dirt and blood. Seems like his daughter was beginning to take the academy seriously.

During exams, she utilized her brilliant mind to swiftly memorize through piles of scrolls and text-books, furiously training her taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu afterward. She was a very quick learner and was soon blessed with a glare from the Uchiha as their teacher announced the recent examination results. She had tied with Kiyoshi!

Things began to get violent between the two. They were often pitted in taijutsu practice spars, considering the fact that very few could actually take on the genius Uchiha. Yuki caught up to him, matching his strength, speed, and technique with her dawn to dusk training. She held on to the words of the legendary Rock Lee, "Even a prodigy can lose to somebody who works hard!" Their taijutsu matches often ended up bloody and having the two chalk-up several stays at the Konoha hospital. The teachers were very careful never to leave the two alone in the same room ever.

As their rivalry heated-up, graduation loomed ahead. Yuki strove to out-do him and snag the "number-one rookie" title in order to irk the Uchiha even more. She was pretty sure she could do it too as she tallied up the countless examination results, but was in for a surprise when the Uchiha perfected their final exam, thereby beating her by a full one point. What was more, she didn't even get the number-one kunoichi spot which was awarded to Suzume Hatake. This was rather confusing and frustrating for Yuki since she was pretty sure that the academy results placed her only second to the Uchiha. The other kunoichi's results, Suzume's included, didn't even reach near hers. It was a pretty grim day for the young girl.

Genin Years
Just like her father expected, Yuki thought that she would be placed into a cell with Shikahien Nara and Chouyo Akimichi to form another generation of the famous Ino-Shika-Chou trio. Turns out that she was wrong as Shika was placed into the Uchiha's cell and Chouyo was placed into another cell with two taijutsu-type genins. She, herself, was placed into a cell with two lazy, unmotivated boys and a spineless jounin-sensei. They were a very screwed team, indeed.

This arrangement didn't bode well for the now high-strung Yamanaka as she screamed and ranted for her team to train harder. She even resorted to scolding and black-mailing Ken-sensei just in order to get him to push them harder. Yuki spent countless nights and days in the library researching jutsus and team strategies as well as organizing "team-bonding" sessions. Slowly, but surely both of her teammates began to improve under "banshee-girl's" leadership and even their jounin-sensei began to gather more confidence and resolve within himself. Benjiro, a boy who loved peace and wished to only help, not fight was immediately drilled to stand up for himself. She had helped him take his first steps to becoming an effective medic-nin by arranging an apprenticeship for him with her own mother as well as trying to bring the boy out of his shy, unsure shell. Her other team-mate, Michio, was the tenth son of a business-man. He was often compared with his older brothers and had thus thought of himself as useless. But, Yuki had seen that he was very strong and capable of being a heavy taijutsu hitter, so most of the boys days were spent being goaded into running laps and practicing his taijutsu moves. It seems like Yuki's assumption of the leadership role in their team was the driving force towards their growth, not only for the genin members but for their jounin-sensei as well.

The training routine that she had arranged for her team had put-off all thoughts of the arrogant Uchiha out of her mind, so it was a big surprise for her when she was summoned by the Hokage to a D-rank mission with the said Uchiha. It seems like the higher-ups had never heard of the enmity between the two genins for the both soon found themselves in a very wide field covered with rows upon rows of vicious weeds. Yukino, being an expert gardener, had reluctantly left the Uchiha alone and proceeded to skillfully remove the weeds with her superior gardening skills. The Uchiha, though, was not used to such work and had proceeded to pull the weeds without removing their roots. Yuki opened her big mouth and began to berate the Uchiha for his lack of competence. War soon followed. They both executed jutsus that weren't even meant for genin to learn and followed-up by the Uchiha's massive fire attacks, the field was soon burning.

They were never teamed-up together after that event.

Further training with her genin cell intensified and although they didn't exactly perform "miracles" as a certain other team did, they were still one of the most reliable and popular choices for missions. Their team dynamics were also unrivaled because despite the fact that Yuki bossed everybody around, all four of them had already treated each other as family and had thus been able to maximize the effectiveness of their individual skills.

Ken-sensei, this sucks! We only have very few C-rank missions. Why the hell do we keep on getting those measly D-ranks, huh?" whined an irate Yamanaka as she kept a choke-hold on a certain devil cat that was their current mission objective.

"Well, Yuki-chan, D-ranks are important for us to be able to improve as Shinobi while in a stable environment suited for your current level, " their teacher explained as all four of them walked towards the Hokage building.

They were soon given another mission, this time a C-rank, to deliver a medical scroll to Konoha's allied village, Suna. Upon their arrival on the border of the Fire Country and Wind Country, they were confronted by several mercenaries who wanted the scroll for themselves since it contained several powerful medical jutsus. All four of them didn't even need verbal communication as they immediately assumed battle position number three.

Yuki executed a basic genjutsu to distract the enemies while Ken-sensei used the opportunity to create a few kage-bunshins and take care of their enemies. It turned out that the mercenaries were more powerful than they appeared and had also increased their number. Their jounin-sensei took on the brunt of the attacking force and lured them away from his team, easily trusting them to take care of the stragglers.

It was the first time that all three of them had to deal with seasoned fighters. Benjiro, their medic-nin, was placed at the rear as Michio unleashed a hail of kunai from above. Yuki followed it up with a rapid succession of wind-cutting jutsus, taking out three of the enemies in the process. There were still around ten of the enemies that remained, but they suddenly heard Ken-sensei's anguished cry from a distance. In a panic, Benjiro ran to help their teacher as Michio and Yuki struggles to defeat the remaining opponents.

Thanks to the daily synchronization exercises that the two performed, they were able to do the kunai-trap dance which involved both of them mirroring each other's movements at the same time while controlling several wired kunai. Fortunately, the strategy worked and they were soon rushing towards the direction of Benjiro and their jounin-sensei.

The entire battlefield was littered with metal and scorched with executed jutsus. Their opponents were definitely not normal mercenaries. Even so, Ken-sensei was able to disable most of them, save one who currently held Benjiro hostage by placing a kunai on his neck and threatening to kill him if they don't give-up the scroll. Ken-sensei was lying on a heap, having taken several major hits.

"Michio-kun, distract him..." the Yamanaka simply commanded as she stepped back into the trees. Michio opened his loud mouth and began to verbally insult the mercenary, effectively redirecting his focus on the chanting brat instead of his surrounding area.

"Shintenshin no jutsu..." and the mercenary's world blacked out.

Chunin, at last!
They were growing, not only individually, but as a team. They had come to accept their own differences and were able to work effectively, despite being the most screwed-up team of their year. It was true. Yukino had discovered that genin teams were supposed to be composed of a student from the higher tier, another one from the middle tier, and lastly by a lower-ranked one in order to balance out the whole ratio. But, it seems as if some strings were pulled and the team assignment had worked against their favor. Benjiro and Michio were from the dead-lasts while Yuki was the only one from the higher tier. Even so, their team-work was unparalleled. What other more talented teams couldn't accomplish were easily finished by this team since they complemented each others strengths and made up for the others weakness.

During the chunin exams, the first phase was easy. Yukino was smart and had kept all of the lessons stored inside her brain so she was able to get through the written examinations with ease. Her Shintenshin also insured that Benjiro and Michio were able to get the correct answers, thus her team was able to move on to the second phase, the Forest of Death.

It was simple, really. All they had to do was secure another scroll from a defeated genin team then they were done. But, as fate had it, ninjas from the Mist suddenly attacked them. Yukino had smirked and encouraged her team, believing that they could defeat them. She seemed to be right too. Her accurate taijutsu coupled with Michio's massive raw strength seemed to overpower the older shinobis, that was until they ingested a vial of mysterious substance that apparently boosted their skills and turned them into animals. A single punch from one of them uprooted trees and their speed was unbelievable. Michio was knocked out with a single upper-cut. Yukino couldn't believe her eyes. They weren't genin!

In desperation she threw kunai after kunai on their enemies with the hopes of turning their attention on her and not on the injured Michio. She succeeded and she now came face to face with the three mad men. Benjiro immediately rushed to Michio's side and began healing him. Yuki was outnumbered and outmatched, but she'd rather die than give up.

"Benjiro-kun, get Michio-kun and run..." she whispered, her voice a mere wisp from its normal loud variant.

Benjiro looked at her with wide eyes and refused, shaking his head as he pumped more chakra into Michio. The Mist-nin advanced.

"Benjiro RUUUUUUN!!" she screamed as she intercepted an attack from the middle ninja with a kick. She matched his attacks with her own, not even flinching as a kick from the side struck her head. Even a quick wind-jutsu from her didn't faze them, instead they seemed to enjoy the sight of blood. Various cuts and bruises had already formed on her arms and legs. Her eyesight was beginning to get blurry.

"Benjiro...Now!" she pleaded as she saw that the boy had not yet moved. He was frozen in place, terror evident on his face. Yuki was certain that they would probably die, but in a final show of courage, she ran in front of Michio and the unconscious Benjiro who was about to be mauled over by the crazed shinobi, certain that at least, she had died protecting her friends.

"Yuki!" a familiar voice called out. She opened her eyes and saw Shikahien who had caught all three of the enemies in his Kagemane.

"Shika.." Yukino could only whisper in joy at seeing her old friend. But then, another voice decided to make itself known.

"Nara, we should leave." the Uchiha commanded, his eyes warily gazing over hear team. "They're not our problem..."

"No, I refuse. You might be team leader, but they're a part of Konoha too. I'm not leaving!" Shika angrily spat back. Yuki's eyes widened at this. Shikahien was never the contradicting kind. He always thought it was too troublesome. But here he was, having a staring contest with the Uchiha, absolutely refusing to give up on her and her team.

"Very well..." the Uchiha merely nodded.

The fighting began.

It was brutal. The Mist ninjas had nearly killed Suzume and Shika until Kiyoshi defeated them by producing the third tomoe of his Sharingan. The Mist retreated.
Yukino, although begrudgingly, thanked the Uchiha after tending to the wounds of the other genin. It seemed like their war was brought to a cold-stop.

The third phase of the exams went well for Yukino. Both members of her team were defeated during their earlier matches, though they both told her that they haven't lost hope yet and would just try harder next time. Her first match was easy. She was against a genin who she easily outclassed in almost all forms of jutsu. The finals round was difficult. She went against a chakra monster, one who seeped off chakra from his enemies and used it to unleash very powerful blows. Their fight left various damages on the arena and allowed the crowd to witness the Yamanaka's dance-like taijutsu as well as her vicious cunning. She had simply Shintenshined her way into victory with the help of a little distraction, courtesy of a few exploding tags.

Out of the three of them in their team, only Yuki made it to chuunin. Despite that, Ken-sensei still went all-out and treated them to an all-you-can-eat buffet. Yuki's life changed after that. She wasn't assigned on missions with her team anymore, since Konoha had recognized her potential and was prepping her for infiltration. She had done countless missions where she moved into enemy territory without being detected. They had referred to her as "Konoha's Ghost".

Despite the success of her infiltration missions and eventual integration into torture and interrogation, it seemed like Konoha's council had other plans for the Yamanaka. Over the years, she had grown into a very desirable young woman and very much deadly too. They wanted her to branch out into seduction.

Her father, after hearing the news vehemently denied it and immediately went into war with the council. Yukino wasn't too happy about it either. She got easily pissed off when somebody even tried to flirt with her, how much more try to seduce some fat old geezer? The council even had the nerve to threaten her with the removal of her shinobi status and forcefully rejected her every attempt to apply for jounin. Finally, after a massive, full-out shouting war with her superior, Yukino went into the seduction department. Needless to say, she was very successful. Her mind jutsus were too powerful for the targets and they ended up in a heap before they could even make a move on her. That's what you'd call a "Yamanaka ********!"

Yamanaka-sensei
At the age of seventeen, Yukino was a very accomplished kunoichi. But more than that, due to the seduction division, she had gotten to be very proficient in various arts such as the tea ceremony or the playing of the shamisen. She felt that the council was stunting her growth and turning her into one of their little slaves, so with a little manipulation, she had applied in the ninja academy as an instructor.
To placate the council, she did a few other missions every now and then, but she had focused everything on the academy.

Just like she said, "I'll do anything to get those idiots off my back."
