History: Alpha-88, also known as A-88 and later on as Gray, was an Advanced Recon Commando lieutenant in the Grand Army of the Republic. He is one of three super clones created secretly along with X1 and X2 by the Kaminoans. They were meant to be integrated secretly into the normal clone trooper forces, but Gray and his two brothers were created from a separate sample than X1 and X2. Unlike the X brothers, each of the three clones were mixed with DNA that of Jango and another non-human host to maximize effectiveness and ability.
During the Battle of Praesitlyn, Gray suffered extreme injury. While stationed on an Acclamator-class assault ship, Gray and his squad were subject to a Separatist attack, going under heavy fire from several pulse cannons. His ship was destroyed within seconds, before a Red Zero could officially be signaled. Gray however, was one of few survivors during the attack. He was able to maneuver through the destruction and into an escape pod with his squad. Sadly, this lead to a deadly downfall as their escape pod was discovered and quickly ambushed by a larger squad of B1 battle droids. Wounded by a battle droid assassin, Gray and his team quickly dispatched the enemy squad, but one had gotten off a thermal detonator, killing two members of the team while taking Gray's right arm in the process.
Later rescued, Gray was fitted with cybernetics, giving him a new right arm along with some enhancements to his legs and body. These enhancements allow him to react faster, run further, and survive falling from high jumps. He would later come to be known as "Gray" when the other ARC troopers discovered that he was a half Echani clone and had grey eyes unlike the others. However, this didn't stop the others from treating him as a fellow soldier.

Special: A-88 has shown some force-sensitivity, most likely due to who he was cloned from, Mark Sidus. Mark was the half Echani son of the Sith Lord Darth Sidus and and later became the Sith Lord Darth Sol during the New Republic era. His DNA was extracted before he became known as Darth Sol, in an effort to preserve a lost hero.
Cybernetics: Gray's right arm is completely cybernetic up to the shoulder with an added Repulse-Hand upgrade and smaller cybernetic upgrades to his legs increasing his running speed and combat endurance. His other bodily cybernetics include an Advanced Combat System and a Cardio Power System, allowing him to react faster and have near-supernatural stamina.
