I had a super fun time climbing the dome with Karen and Kathy! heart heart heart

Song of the Day...Mad World, by Gary Jules

Status: relieved

Saturday was so much fun! I went to Union Square to meet Karen and Kathy to work on the Starving Artist's submissions. At first we read manga, and I read a very interesting one called The Chronicles of the Grim Peddler. (http://www.mangafox.com/manga/chronicles_of_the_grim_peddler/). It was quite good! It was a twisted play on fairytales like The Little Mermaid and Hansel and Gretel. Apparently the Little Mermaid was a total b**** until she was reunited with a little human boy whom she once saved when she was little. Likewise, Hansel and Gretel are evil children who murdered their own parents and then went around giving people their made up sob story. And Sleeping Beauty didn't get her finger pricked and end up locked in the hidden castle for a hundred years while everyone slept. Actually, everyone else died except her father who doted over her. He had heard from an oracle that the witch was planning to p***k the princess' finger and put her to sleep so he got rid of all of the spinning wheels in the country but he actually believed in the prophesy more than anyone else and he also had a desire to lock up his daughter since she was so sweet and perfect in his eyes. So he tried to make the prophesy come true. By strangling her to death. The mystery of the castle hiding the princess is just a figment of the old man's imagination because he was actually crazy enough to believe the story that he wished would happen and completely forget that his daughter was already dead. So he waited around all old and creepy looking, waiting for his dead daughter to wake up. Those stories were really all so good! Cinderella didn't even live a fairytale. She ended up taking refuge from her abusive stepmother in her uncle's room where he told her stories about another woman who had a much more screwed up life than Cinderella. That woman happened to be the uncle's sister and Cinderella's mother. It was pretty interesting. I wish there were more manga like that! The author even said in the notes in the back that she didn't expect that the book would be stunningly popular but that she was very grateful to whomever read it. I can't believe that at all! It was amazing! A zillion more people should read it!

Hm. So, the more fun parts of the day. After I wrote Karen's letter at Barnes and Nobles and gave it to her I went out to get food at the NYU sushi buffet place. On the way, I saw the entire dance parade! It was kind of cool. All the way from Union Square and down to about 7th Street along Unversity Place, there were different types of dancers per block. Mexican, Japanese, hippies, even cheerleaders.

I ate the sushi on the steps of one of the buildings on the same block as the sushi store. Nice place to sit and eat. And then on the way back I saw the entire parade again. xD

When I got back, I waited for Karen to read a bit more and then we all headed out to the park. :3 That was the fun part! After Karen (parent that she is) bought some good apples, we went to the playground. There was this huge dome there that all the kids were running up and climbing! So we took a crack at it. xD It took Karen a few tries but it took me and Kathy foreverrrrr. It was easier when we took our shoes off but we tried again after with our shoes on just to fight the challenge. Kathy got up eventually but it still took me ages. There was this one little kid who was doing it sooooo easily! He could practically walk up and down the thing! He was trying to help me get up it too, although to no avail at the time. He gave me good advice though and did try to pull me up although I suppose I didn't get close enough to get up without pulling him down. I actually pulled Karen and Kathy down once. xD Anyway, that kid was so nice! And I wish he could have been there to see me when I finally got up there with my sneakers on! It would have been nice to have my teacher be proud of me. xD In any case, that is my current profile pic on facebook and it was a super fun day regardless of not having accomplished the work for Starving Artists. Thanks for letting me have such an awesome day Karen and Kathy! heart heart heart 3nodding heart heart heart

So. Now for yesterday. That wasn't half as much fun. I woke up at 5pm. Procrastinated. I ended up doing my recording for English of Mad World, by Gary Jules (for the Invisible Man project since I used music as my motif) at like midnight. And the cable suto khalamony gave me for her camera was the wrong one so we took till 2am to try and fail at finding the right one. Then amma went all crazy for no reason and started yelling and such. Which was so help. But thankfully Emran stayed awake with me. And although he did cause me to waste quite a bit of time, we did work out the recording together on the "Voice Recorder" thingy Buffy bought which I thought we wouldn't need because of the camera. Thankfully it also had good quality so I just recorded straight off the camera. Then after finishing the two English essays, around 5am, I studied Physics all morning until I went to school.

Now for today. The sucky part. I studied Physics. All. Freaking. Day. And what do I get? A test with like 3 questions on magnetism. T.T Most of it was on electricity which was decent but seriously, I was expecting some more magnetism! T.T Gerr!

Now I can only hope that I did well. For the sake of my grade and also for that presentation thing that Mr. Fox is having where Sara's dad will be teaching during 9th period. Mr. Fox asked Ms. Schiller to let me out of class and Ms. Schiller checked my grades and they were bad so she said she might not. T.T So, going to that presentation hinges on this grade! But to be honest, I'm not insanely concerned about this test grade for that reason. I mean, it wouldn't kill me to miss the presentation. I just kind of don't want to let Mr. Fox down since it seems kind of important to him that I go. I also am slightly irked or vexed (i don't know) by the fact that Mr. Fox and Ms. Schiller know each other and might thus discuss their students and their grades, that being me and my grades. T.T So I kind of wonder, does Ms. Schiller know that I have a 70 something in Java? xD Although it's justifiable because the last project is a mis-grade. But I don't care since I'm going to resubmit later anyway for full credit.

Hm. Well, the test went semi okay I hope. At the least I'm certain that I already got one multiple choice wrong and one free response wrong. T.T How many points off is that?

Oh, I presented my English project today in English since I did the motif of music and I did a recording. I'm glad Connor recognized the song. At least someone knows it. :3 I was actually first introduced to it when I saw it on Charlene (Fernandez's) facebook one day long ago in the distant past. :3 And now I'm glad I know the song. xD

Ah. So today. I have US homework to do. I finally brought home my textbook from my locker after leaving it there for like a week. Tomorrow we're going to discuss in LEAP the letter for the administration about Earth Day because Earth day is going to be moved to after school for next year. T.T We must do something!

Hm. I'll leave it at that for now. I haven't written in here in so long! Then again, I bet no one has read in here in so long too.
