I'm finding myself more and more drawn to my own thoughts and others' as well. Especially my thoughts on the future, my life, everyone's life and the rules regulating them. I find it hard to really say my mind mainly because I'm never asked what it is I'm thinking of, as though my thoughts are unwanted or unheard.
Well this is a journal entry about what my thoughts are, on certain issues within our world and the rules that are enforced upon us.
The rights of everyone should never be denied, this is a basic fact that even our fore-fathers relied heavily on while creating this nation. I find it hard to understand the relativity of church and state though. Around the 1300's, church heavily affected state, making most laws based upon religious followings. It seems to me today that this is occurring more and more as time progresses, where religion affects the judgment of a court that is to be unbiased and fair.
When gay rights are not included, I tend to ask myself why not? Because it is not allowed in a book? It's a bit unreasonable, are we to force everyone to eat a food because it is generally favored? Are those that do not like the food forced to eat it or can they do choose something on their own?
We need to focus on our choices rather than the choices of others...the decisions that we make for ourselves rather than for others. I'm starting to get a headache and I'm going to leave on a single note: I like what I like, so there.
