“She’s too unstable. “Man, another fail day in Tokyo…Maybe I would have been better off if I had stayed in America with my family…But I’ve gotten rejected in every Collage I’ve gone too, this is my only chance to redeem myself…” My name is Kotako Myashi, I’m 18 years old. I’m jobless, girlfriend less, and I’m hopeless. I’ve been trying for almost 3 months now to try and get into an Anime writing Collage. My two older brothers, Kyo and Kisama, were able to get into an Art Collage to design anime characters. They even made a famous Manga book.
Since I’m 18 now I figured it was my turn to follow in their foot steps. Our parents had died when I was only two so I really never got to know them, but according to my brothers they were the best parents ever. They pushed my brothers to achieve their goal when their spirits got down, and even helped pay for their collage fund. I hoped to make my brothers proud by getting into the collage that wrote the anime itself. “Finally my annoying apartment…” “Hello Mrs.Tanaka how was your day today?’ Oh hello Kotako, my day was great, How was yours?” “Boring as usual, Thank you for asking.”
Mrs. Tanaka was the manager of my apartments. Her husband had died two years ago of a mysterious illness. She was really pretty, but I didn’t think she was the type of girl who would have interest in a nobody student like me. I may have lived by myself but I had a neighbor who was my age. His name was Akito Shindo, he was aiming to become a writer as well, but not for anime.
“Hello Kotako, see you’re as lazy as ever, ha-ha.” “Hey Akito, see your as bitter as ever.” “Ha-ha, come on don’t be that way. Hey, I’m going to a club tonight. Want to come?” “No thanks, I’m suppose to go see my uncle in 20 minutes. He wants to show me something important. Said it was something my dad had been working on before he died.” “Oh, I see it must be important then…Well if you change your mind, I’ll be there till 2. See you around.” “Bye.”
My dad had been a scientist of some sort. When ever I tried to ask him what he worked on he always told me it was top secret. We hardly ever saw him at home. He was only home on holidays and sometimes on the weekends. This was really rare that he ever did. I grabbed my jacket, put my books away, locked up my apartment and left. I didn’t have a car or a bike so I always had to walk ever where. It really wasn’t all that bad because my uncle lived only a couple blocks away. It would only take be about 30 minutes to get there.
I got there around 6 pm and said hi to Hito, he was my uncle’s friend and partner. He told me my uncle was on the 7th floor so I took the elevator and went to his lab. When I opened the door the place was dark except for all the blue lights everywhere. “Uncle, you called me and said you had something important to show me?” “Oh, Kotako, I’m glad you’re finally here, and yes I have something very important to show you. This was a protect your father had been working on for40 years until his well…You know.” “Its ok uncle, my brothers and I have come to understand that it was for the best and they are in a better place.”
“I see, well then as I was saying, your father had been working on this project for 40 years. Now this project has been laying in sleep for what we believe is 10,000 years. We thought it would never awaken, until 4 months ago to this very day…” “What? 4 months ago to this day? That would be…” “Yes, your 18 birthday, this project…is actually a woman.” “Huh?? A woman??” “Yes, we believe she is about 17 years old. We wanted to see if what happen is some how related to you.” “I see, then…take me to her.”
My uncle took me to a room and there she was. She was sealed in an egg with water in it. She had long black hair and a slender body. She was naked but she was so beautiful. “Go ahead and touch the egg and see if anything happens.” “Uh, ok uncle.” I walked up to her and put my hand on the egg and said in my heart…”If I am the one you are looking for…Please awake.” Suddenly her eyes opened and they were pure white and the egg started to crack, suddenly it shattered and she lowered slowly to the floor.
“My name is Kimiyko Natsume…And I have been waiting 10,000 years for you Kotako Myashi…” Her eyes returned back to normal to show that her eyes were a deep purple. “You’ve been…waiting, for me?” She nodded and smiled. “Yes, you are “The One.” “What? The one?” She giggled. “All will be explained when the time comes…” My uncle walked over to me and gasped. That is amazing. The project your father has been working on for 40 years is the princess of heaven and hell!!”
“What? The princess of heaven and hell?” “Yes according to legend, there was a girl born of heaven and hell whose power was too great. So her parents sent her to earth to be contained until a boy known as “The One” would show up to help contain her power.” “So your saying that I’m this “The One”?” “Yes. Kotako, I want you to go buy her clothes and anything else she might need and study her behavior.” “But uncle how am I suppose to do that? I don’t have a job, I don’t have any money…” “Kotako, your father and mother made this bank account for you the day you were born. Use this to buy her things.”
“But knowing my parents, that account must have thousands of dollars. Which I could use for my collage fund…” “Kotako, if you collect the data that we need on her and then give her to us the day she is of no use to us anymore we will pay for your entire collage fund.” “Wow really?, and all I have to do is get data on her?” “Yes.” “But wait, what are you guys going to day the day she’s of no use to you?” “Well were going to freeze her so she won’t be able to hurt anyone.” I thought that was kind of cruel but I didn’t care because it meant I would be able to go to collage.
I put Kimiyko in some clothes that would substitute for her until we could go buy her some real clothes. I went to the bank and looked at the account and it had 100,000 thousand dollars in it. I was actually in shock. Wow…I can’t believe my parents saved all this for me…I looked over at Kimiyko. She had been looking at me love struck ever since we left.
“Um, would you stop staring at me like that?” “O-oh I’m sorry is my staring annoying? I’ll go away if it is.” “No, no your ok just…don’t stare at me like that ok?” She nodded and smiled. “Ok Master Kotako.” I blinked at her. Master? Oh yeah that’s right. She keeps calling me Master because of that whole light thing and everything. I still didn’t quiet get it but she seemed to be happy and happy girl meant lots of data.
Just think…Soon I’ll be able to achieve my dream of going to collage, and all I have to do is get data on some crazy heaven and hell girl. I withdrew 50,000 dollars to get her everything she would need. We started walking to the mall that was about 1 block away from where we were. When we got there I saw Akito. “Hey Kotako! Fancy meeting you here!! Huh? Oh, who’s your sexy friend here? Is she your girlfriend.” He winked at her and I rolled my eyes. “No, she’s not my girlfriend. She’s a…” I couldn’t exactly tell Akito that she was the princess of heaven and hell and I had to take data on her…”
“She’s a foreign girl who my uncle wants me to look after for a few months…” “Oh he-he, Soo…Could I take her around for a bit?” “Sure what do I care…But she needs to go shopping for clothes and other things.” “Ah got you. Don’t worry I’ll take good care of her.” He put his arm around her shoulders and smirked. It made me sick just looking at him. They started walking off and Kimiyko looked at me and a sad look came over her face, and for some reason my heart started to throb with stabs of sadness.
Kimiyko and Akito came back two hours later with about 30 or 40 bags. “Master Kotako~!” Kimiyko ran over to me and hugged me tight, smiling and giggling. “I missed you Master Kotako.” “Wow, for a foreign girl she speaks pretty good Japanese, and you even taught her to call you Master Kotako. Wow ha-ha.” “I didn’t teach her anything…She learned it on her own.” “Dude, what’s got you so depressed?” “Nothing, ok? I would just like to go home.”
“I’ll help you with the bags…I went a little overboard with telling Kimiyko what to get. Ha-ha” He laughed for about a minute and kept talking to Kimiyko as we walked home. Suddenly I felt something warm grab my hand and looked up to see Kimiyko holding it and smiling. I felt warm and fuzzy inside but I didn’t want to see like I was enjoying it. After all she was going to leave soon. Instead of giving her a sweet smile I yanked my hand away and turned my head in the other direction.
I didn’t see what her reaction was only that I felt her aura get farther and farther until she was walking side by side with Akito. After we got a couple feet away from each other I turned back and saw her looking down depressed. Well…One thing to write down is that she gets depressed and feels rejected easily.
When we finally got home I put the bags in a corner for Kimiyko to go thru later on. Akito flirted with her for a few more minutes before leaving my apartment to go to his own. “Ugh, finally that pervert is gone.” “Master Kotako, do you not like Akito?” “What, no I don’t hate him, he’s just annoying sometimes.” She came up to me wearing some new pajamas she bought. “Do you like them? They have um…Kitties on them.” I stared at them for awhile before shrugging. “There cute I guess.” “Yay! Master Kotako likes them!” She jumped on me hugging me and I screamed. “Ah come on Kimiyko! I said they were alright not that I liked them!” She giggled. “He-he, sorry Master Kotako I’m so happy you think there ok.”
She got up and started folding her clothes and putting them neatly away. I was surprised at how clean and neat she was. “Ok Master Akito, I’m finished. 20 pairs of underwear. 30 shirts. 15 pants. 10 skirts, 5 dresses, 20 pairs of socks,3 jackets and 5 pairs of shoes.” I blinked at her and noticed that her clothes only took up about 3 feet of space in my closet. “Um ok Kimiyko. Did you get anything else? You know, besides clothes.” “Oh yes. I got 1 toothbrush, 1 hair brush, 10 headbands, and 15 hair ties, 1 bottle of tooth paste, 2 bars of soap, 2 towels, 1 for hair and 1 for body.
I stared at her for awhile kind of taken back by how neat and organized she was. “Well, um ok then. Well it’s 10 pm so I’m going to go to bed Kimiyko.” “Ok Master Kotako. Sleep well.” I went to my room and shook my head at how weird that girl was. I sighed and laid down. Relax Kotako…Soon she’ll be out of your hair, you’ll have all the money you need to go to collage and you’ll be by yourself again.” Suddenly my eyes widened thinking about it. Did I…Really want to be alone again?
After thinking about it for awhile I just shook my head and thought. No, I may be alone now but soon…I’ll be in collage and I’ll be able to get a girlfriend of my own. What Kotako didn’t realize was that Kimiyko had been reading his thoughts the entire time. She looked away and sighed. “Maybe Master Kotako doesn’t like me…Well I guess that to be expected after all I’m not pretty like the earth girls. I’m a heaven and hell princess…”
The next morning Kotako awake to find Kimiyko no were to be seen. He started to panic. Oh crap, where’d she go! If my uncle founds I lost her I’m going to get in serious trouble!! Suddenly Kimiyko walked in the door with bags full of food. “Kimiyko! Where the heck have you been!?!” Kimiyko put the grocery’s down and saw that Kimiyko was in a beautiful sun dress with her hair down. “I’m sorry Master Kotako, but I saw your refrigerator was low on food so I went to go get some more. I’m sorry if I frightened you.”
He was blushing like crazy but soon regained consciousness. “W-what are you crazy! I-I wasn’t worried. I was just mad you left without telling me!” She blinked. “But Master Kotako, I left a note by your bed saying where I was going.” He gave a fused look, but ran over to his bed and saw the note and read it. (Master Kotako, Went shopping for food. Will be back soon. Take Care~ ~Kimiyko)
“I guess she did…Ok Kimiyko I’ll forgive you this once but next time. Wait until I wake up ok?” She smiled and walked up to me and kissed my cheek. “Yes, Master Kotako.” I blushed and looked away trying to hide the fact that I had enjoyed it. “So um, what did you buy…?” “Oh just the basic food items that people eat.” She pulled out a bunch of random food. “Wow all this looks very good. Wow even a steak?” She smiled and giggled. “Then steak is what we are having for dinner tonight~ please chose a side master.” I looked over at the food she had bought. “Hmm, how about Steak and Rice?” She nodded. “As you wish Master Kotako.”
I realized Kimiyko had been calling me Master Kotako. Suddenly this boyfriend feeling over came me, and I gently got behind Kimiyko and put my hands over hers and kissed her cheek. “Just call me Kotako from now on ok…” Suddenly this huge blush appeared on Kimiyko’s face and she looked up at me. “Mas- I mean Kotako.” Suddenly I realized what I was doing and let go blushing as well. “I-I’m sorry I don’t know what came over me…” I ran into my room and shut the door before Kimiyko could say anything.
About 20 minutes later Kimiyko came and knocked on my door. “Kotako…Dinner is finished…” I hesitated to say anything for awhile then when I started to hear Kimiyko walking away my heart suddenly sank. God I’m awful for pushing her away…I quickly got up and opened my door and saw that the living room was empty and my food were on the table. “Kimiyko?” I kept calling her looking around in the house for her but when I looked outside on the porch there she was.
She was standing on the railing singing a song so sweet and warming I felt as if an angel was singing it. Suddenly giant angel wings spread out from her and she started to glow. Her hair grew and became white. Her sweet purple eyes turned blue, and she started to float. For some reason my heart grew scared she was leaving and I ran to her and grabbed her hand and suddenly she turned back to normal.
