D8 I feel so maternal. Great, I'm a nesting, 19-year old girl who's not even pregnant. Goddammit, being a woman sucks.

It was a quiet evening throughout the Cohen residence. Besides the little padding along the wooden floors from the puppy who was visiting the kitty, Emily was sitting in the chair Melanie had gotten the woman as a gift when she'd been pregnant, which was now in full use as she rocked back and fourth with her baby girl in her arms.

She was already three months old and her fuzzy brown hair had been fine and soft to the touch. She had pretty pinkish-purple skin that was soft and smooth. Very questionable since her lovely baby's father and his family were more of a blue kind of color, but there was no doubt about it, that tiny Lillian had been related to him.

The same brown hair and the same nose, even the ears that were more pointer than her own. Emily smiled and looked down at her chubby face, smiling faintly as she brushed her hand over her delicate hair.

Her eyes, however, had been as grey as Emily's with a similiar mouth shape but smaller.

"I love you, so much," she said, stroking her back and kissing the top of her head. She smelled like baby, soft and sweet. She smiled and she laughed and she'd make the sweetest sounds that made her mother happy.

Lillian looked up at her mommy, smiling and touching her tiny fingers on Emily's hair. She grasped onto it and looked at the lock of hair, scrunching her nose as if trying to comprehend what it was and why it was red.

"I promise, I'm going to be the best mother I can be...I'll be here to love you and watch you grow up...I'll give you everything you need..." she told her.

The baby continued playing with her mother's hair as she talked, quirking a little brow at it as she examined it in her hands.

"You'll even have both your mommy and daddy...I didn't have mine but I promise you'll have yours...I swear your daddy and I will be here for you whenever you need us. Okay?"

"Buh!"

Suddenly a vase had been knocked over and crashed into the floor, shattering all over. The whine of the puppy could be heard and then out of nowhere, the puppy had been scurrying passed her and the baby, the kitty running behind her, worriedly.

Emily sighed and the baby quickly looked at the animals running passed, smiling widely.
