A friend of mine wrote me a poem yesterday for my birthday blaugh thank you Scott! heart
Dedicated to Natatlie, for her birthday
I sit here at my desk, rattling my brain
Trying earnestly to describe you, in vain
I know that you know how special you are
So going there doesn't get me very far
As I'm trying so hard to make you glad In the process, making me mad
But only at myself, so don't worry.
And I'm not really mad, just perplxdd or even confuzzled.
But as trying this way is all for not
I let the idea just sit and rot
Which doesn't take long
Instead I say you've been my best friend
And not many, as in none, have I called my best friend.
So what i really would like to say
Is that you always seem to make my day
And when I'm down
(Which is alot)
Wearing this stupid frown
You remind me of the BIG man And his perfect (big emphasis and huzzah) plan And I smile (ghasp!) and laugh at your joke
And I laugh and gag and choke
And smile again (Gasp again!)
So now that you are 16 and one more year
I just thought you'd like to hear
How good you've been
To me
So thanks! And you need a raise!
Happy birthday! Hope you like it!!!
Now go do something fun!
You can't just sit around on Smithteens all day! Sheesh......
