Rolling clouds carry thunder and lightning my way,
memories trailing along behind them, never fading away;
I recall those times when we danced and sang in the rain...
I want to go home.
When the sun shines bright above my head,
it never seems to be quite as bright as the light
that I bask in when I am there.
Let me go home.
Perhaps the sweetest part of it all,
is to fall upon the soft green grass, snuggled up
with the friends I choose to call my family.
To look up into the night sky, and to see eternity;
twinkling it's bright eyes at me, as if to say "come get me".
Those stars I never see, the burning beauties seem to flee
From this place where I now stay.
I need to go home.
Home is where my heart resides,
home is where I find peace of mind.
Home is where I hear the cheer,
home will always bring friends near.
Let me go home.
