[I was given a loan so I could give Kyutron an second chance at life. She has a new hard drive now, same brand as before and is working well; however the computer's physical state is starting to get a bit shabby. Some of the key's have letters faded right off, one of her rubber feet came off, and both contoured plastic guards to the screen's joints broke. The screen is wobbly and the cord's rubber tore a bit (that happens to most of my cords). These cosmetic things are the only issues so far. When I get a new job I will either give her a makeover or buy a newer and bigger computer christening it the new Kyutron, if the boot fits however. Kyutron seems to have a very specific personality for a computer, so it'd have to be similar and fit all the data this laptop already has. It'd be a transfer, not a replacement. ]
